Year-round Swimming Lessons in Chicago IL:
Child Group Swimming Lessons (ages 3 to 12):
Our program is divided by ability as well as age catering to children at different stages of development. Students are grouped by ages of 3-6yrs and 7-12yrs for the first 3 levels. The program is built around the concept that there is a shared core of aquatic skills that every person needs to know to be proficient in the water, regardless of their age. The core competencies provide the foundation that will enable students to learn correct swimming stroke technique.
StarBabies - Parent & Child (ages 6 to 36 months) Swim Program:
StarBaby is our parent and child, learn to swim program for children ages 6 to 36 months. The curriculum, which includes 3 progressive classes, leading the young child to swimming without assistance, has been developed using the guidelines established by the United States Swim School Association! Our philosophy is to introduce infants, at an early age, to being confident in the water using developmentally appropriate activities that promote play, exploration, and encouragement. The goals of this program are developing students who are comfortable underwater, back floating, and swimming with breathing.
- StarBaby 1: 6-18 months
- StarBaby 2: 19-35 months
- StarBaby Advanced: At least 12 months of age and going underwater completely on their own.
Private / Semi-Private Swimming Lessons:
We offer private and semi-private swimming lessons for all ability levels starting with the very beginner to the advanced competitive swimmer looking for technique instruction and analysis. Many students work better in a private or semi-private situation rather than in a group. Because of this we offer private and semi-private lessons based on availability. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. The goals of the student are discussed before the first lesson and then a plan is developed to accomplish their objectives. We follow the general skill progression of our group lesson curriculum, however it is customized based on the student's goals.
