The London Beauty Academy:
The London Beauty Academy, based in Friern Barnet, North London, is a City & Guilds Beauty Training school. Our aim is to provide you with the best training, covering all aspects of beauty. As we are a City & Guilds Centre, on completion of your course, you will receive your internationally recognised City & Guilds qualification, giving you the freedom and peace of mind to know that you are able to work within the beauty industry, without having to pay for any more courses or exams afterwards, and also knowing that you will be able to gain employment within the industry, with the required qualifications.

Courses are run 3 days a week for 9 - 11 weeks, giving you the opportunity to practice in between lessons. Evening courses are also available. This will enable you to gain experience, and if you face any problems you will have the opportunity to address these at the next lesson, and this will also give you the chance to cover your case studies before your final exam.
Unlike other training schools, as soon as you are enrolled and have paid your deposit we will send you the relevant training manual, whereby you can read up on your theory before you arrive, giving us more time to concentrate on the practical side of the course. The course room is set up as a beauty salon and during your course it will be open to the public so you will be able to gain as much experience as possible in dealing with clients. Within each course you will be provided with a kit which will enable you to start practicing from home, the day you start your course.
Individual Units:
It is also possible to study individual units, which could add to your existing skills or will give you an insight into the beauty industry. If you choose to take an individual unit, you will also have to cover the standard units of working in the industry, consultation and advising clients of treatments and health and safety, if you have not already studied these. Depending on the course, the individual units run for approximately 3, 5 or 9 days.
