Language Center International, Detroit:
Language Center International (LCI), located in the Detroit suburb of Southfield, Michigan, is a professional, accredited English language school with a family-like atmosphere. We offer up to thirty-six hours of ESL (English as a Second Language) instruction per week in morning, afternoon and evening classes. LCI also has a variety of other services for the international community, such as translations, interpretations, one-on-one ESL tutoring and foreign language training.
Accreditation:
Language Center International is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI). At least once in every five years NCA CASI conducts a review of all postsecondary standards to determine clarity, specificity, validity, reliability, consistency for measuring quality of education and training, and relevancy to type of program and training needed by students. NCA (North Central Association) is recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Mission Statement:
Language Center International is dedicated to providing citizens, immigrant and non-immigrant students with quality language training for academic, professional, or personal purposes and to promoting American cultural understanding in an atmosphere conducive to learning.
Our English Language Instructors:
All LCI instructors must have a minimum of an undergraduate university degree in a field related to language instruction. Many instructors either have advanced degrees or have completed graduate courses. Almost all instructors and staff have lived, worked, or studied outside the United States and know at least one foreign language.
