Situated on Kent Street in the heart of downtown Sydney NSW, Karl von Busse Institute of Design is an exclusive design college that offers Fashion Design, Graphic Design and Interior Design Diploma programs to students interested in a creative career. Our courses last for two years, with two semesters each year. Our aim is to to deliver better and more reliable returns through our skill in the best design education, responding to creative job opportunities and student needs.
Karl von Busse trained as a graphic designer in Germany. At 20 he traveled to Australia and fell in love with the Australian way of life. In 1978 he decided to open his own college under the name of “KvB Institute of Technology” with the introduction of a Graphic Design course. The program was totally industry driven with lecturers out of the industry and his studio was also used to give his students work experience while studying.
The college was so successful that within a short time KvB Institute of Technology had over 200 students and Karl expanded by offering courses in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Photography, TV & Film Production and Multimedia.
