CEPA Foundation & Humboldt Universität Berlin - Summer University Program:
The CEPA (Cultural & Educational Programs Abroad) Foundation provides summer and semester programs that are specially designed to meet the needs and academic goals of North American students. In cooperation with the prestigious Humboldt University in Berlin, we offer a 4-week summer university study abroad program. This program was designed especially for students who are interested in combining German language classes with university-level courses related to German history, politics, society and culture. All university courses are offered in a combination of German and English.

It is our mission to encourage the personal development of students and provide them with hands-on preparation for future careers by exposing them to the perspectives and practices of other nations and cultures through a variety of international educational experiences. With many years of experience and expertise in international education programs, we offer cultural summer, semester or academic year abroad programs as well as internships for individual students. We provide excellent opportunities for you to gain experience related to your academic majors, while at the same time, essential knowledge of the European languages and cultures. By taking part in our programs, you will gain some of the most important experiences for your career - global experience.

4-week summer university study abroad program in Berlin:

Students take a German Language Course and a German Culture and Area Studies Course. The placement test on the first day will determine which course level is required. If they prefer, students have the option to enroll in an Intensive German Language Course instead of the Culture and Area Studies Course in the afternoons. In addition to the language lessons and course, a variety of cultural field trips, visits and hands-on experiences are included.

Earn University Credit!
Upon successful completion and regular attendance in the courses, each student will receive a grade certificate and 8 ECTS credits from Humboldt University. The amount of transferable credits is at the discretion of your own university regulations.

Safe & Comfortable Accommodation:

Students will be housed in shared apartments in the Berlin Lichtenberg area, which is only 30 minutes away from the university by public transportation. Each apartment is furnished and has 2-3 bedrooms, a living room with a kitchenette and a bathroom.

Berlin is one of the most popular cities in Europe due to its history, current fashion, art, and architecture. The city is ever-changing and holds so many different things to do and places to see that there is something for everyone to enjoy. As the university is located on the famous street Unter den Linden the best Berlin has to offer can be discovered just minutes away. Berlin truly is a special city and most who visit appreciate its vast culture.

Founded in 1810 and the oldest university to be established in Berlin, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin is a wonderful place to study and known for its prestige. It has been home to some of Germany’s greatest minds who include: Albert Einstein, Karl Marx, Heinrich Heine, W.E.B DuBois and many others. The institution is also home to 29 Nobel Prize winners.

Verbum Novum GmbH is an international travel operator that specializes in organizing German language-based courses for teens and adults from around the world.

Located in the Mainz/Wiesbaden area of the Rhineland in western Germany, we deliver a beginner to advanced level German Summer Camp program for teenagers ages 13-17.

Our teen summer camps feature 20 German language lessons per week. The courses run from Monday to Friday in the morning. After the lessons and lunch, there are sports / free activities and excursions to nearby cities.

Courses / Programs
• The Goethe-Institut offers summer camps & year-round German courses for juniors & high school students / teenagers at attractive locations throughout Germany and Austria, including Berlin, Bonn, Leipzig and Munich.

• Our German summer and winter camps are 2-3 weeks in duration and are available to students ages 9-17. They are suitable for students at all levels of German from beginner to advanced.

• In addition to our summer courses, we offer year-round German courses for groups of students, accompanied by their teachers. These one-week or two-week programs are available throughout the autumn (fall), winter and spring.

• Students on our summer German courses learn German while meeting international students from all over the world in a fun, multicultural atmosphere.

• During the course, participants have the opportunity if they wish to take an internationally recognized Goethe-Institut examination at various levels. The exams are tailored to the various age groups.

IFX International Summer Soccer Camps, Nuremberg
Courses / Programs
Based in California, International Fútbol X-Change (IFX) is a leading international soccer organization that provides world-class Summer soccer camps in Germany for talented soccer players ages 14-18.

IFX has partnered with German semi-professional clubs, SG Quelle Fürth, FSV Erlangen-Bruck and 1.SC Feucht in the Nürnberg/Fürth area in order to allow a limited number of players to train among their youth teams. Contrary to the traditional international soccer tour where teams travel to play against foreign teams, our program immerses individual players in the foreign game, experiencing the German game as if they were a part of the team.

Players spend two weeks in Nürnberg/Fürth where they are professionally trained by the head youth coaches of local teams. Exchange participants stay in comfortable youth hostel or hotel accommodations, attend daily training, visit local tourist attractions, and learn about German culture and life. IFX also has football academies in Spain, Italy, England and Brazil.
German Youth Soccer Camp:
- 2 week residential camp in Nürnberg (Ages 14-18)

Academy for International Education (Akademie für internationale Bildung), Bonn
Courses / Programs
Located in Bonn, in western Germany, Academy for International Education (Akademie für internationale Bildung - AIB) is a private non-profit organization for higher education. We specialize in providing year-round, semester and summer study abroad programs in Bonn for individual students and groups from US colleges and universities.

SABINA is an interdisciplinary, six-week summer program for US students that offer courses in German language and culture, liberal arts and film studies in Bonn. It offers students the choice between three different academic 'packages'. Each track gives students the opportunity to earn a total of six-eight semester credits but with different combinations of courses.

The SABINA summer program includes cultural activities and excursions. Students are encouraged to stay with one of our carefully selected German host families as homestay accommodation offers the unique opportunity to fully immerse oneself in the German culture, meet people outside of the program and make friends. Student residence accommodation is also available.
