The City College of San Francisco provides a substantial curriculum for study for international students. The U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization has authorized City College of San Francisco under federal law to enroll nonimmigrant international students without quota. This is applicable to F-1 visa students.

Intensive English Program (IEP):
The IEP offers an intensive academic English program for students who have not yet achieved 473 on the TOEFL (or 152 on the computer-based test) score, 52 on iBT, or 4.5 on IELTS. The program prepares students to become effective, confident speakers of English in academic institutions and professional settings as well as in everyday life. Associate Degree in Nursing:
The program prepares students to work as registered nurses. Upon completion, the graduate will receive an Associate Degree in Nursing. The graduate is entitled to take the California State Board of Registered Nursing licensing exam. The program offers a series of courses that combine academic classes on campus, skills practice in the nursing skills laboratory, and patient care experience in various hospitals and facilities in the San Francisco area.
