Ball & Maze Puzzle Game - Road Blocks
Use ‘stopping blocks’ to control the momentum of a rolling ball, and slide it into an exit portal: Road Blocks is a very challenging, maze-based visual puzzle and problem-solving brainteaser game where you must guide a white ball to a red exit portal (like a goal) in multiple, increasingly-difficult levels. The catch is that your rolling white ball can only move horizontally or vertically around the confined grid, and can only stop by impacting with a wall or other object (manually stopping the ball is impossible!).
Reasons to play this multi-level, brain teaser puzzle: Although the game has a simple concept (move a ball around a maze toward the exit), there are number of very tricky elements to it that should prove testing for even the most seasoned visual puzzle aficionados. Each level plays as an interesting problem-solving challenge where you must carefully observe the playing field, and all levels are a stern test of your ability to figure out the correct path to the exit.
Skills needed to win: The willingness for lots of trial and error is a very important part of this game – You almost certainly won't complete each level on the first attempt. Analytical thinking skills and a well-planned strategy are called on as you visualize (predict) the ideal path to the exit portal for your rolling ball. A cool head, determination and stamina also play a major part in your success.
How to Play: A Flash-based, visual puzzle / skill game for notebook, laptop and desktop PC / Mac (with certain browsers). In each of the progressively-difficult 22 levels, your goal is to push / slide the white ball to the glowing red ‘Goal’ / Exit Portal. Use the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard to control your ball's movement. However, once you set the ball moving, it can only stop when it impacts with a solid ‘road block’. Therefore, you must use these blocks as special ‘momentum stoppers’.
When the ball enters the red Exit Goal, you automatically progress to the next level. However, if you accidentally push the ball off of the game area, you must re-play the level (This will happen quite often, especially in later levels). In later levels, additional items such as Teleport Stations, and Directional Arrows enter the fray. Yellow-colored Directional Arrows can act as additional stopping blocks if your ball approaches them from another direction to the one the Arrow is pointing. However, if your ball hits the Arrow in the same direction – the momentum of your ball continues in that direction.
