Bowling Game for Mobile / Android / Tablet / PC - Classic Bowling

Rating: 9.3/10 - 9 votes

Fancy yourself as a brilliant bowling Kingpin? If so, smash a strike, salvage a spare, and score as close to a ‘Perfect Game’ as possible in this tricky interactive bowling simulation game - playable on mobile phone, tablet, notebook, laptop or desktop PC. Classic Bowling is an easy-to-play yet challenging, ten pin bowling game where your task is to score as highly as you can in standard 10-frame bowling. Adjust your bowler's lane position, shot power and curve action, and figure out the best way to smash into the pins with precision accuracy!

Skills required: Just like with bowling in real life, this is a game of very fine margins. Accurate and tactful mouse clicking / keyboard control / finger tapping reaction skills, depending on the device you choose to play with, are vitally important. Smart strategy, good concentration and timing skills are also key as you seek to score high with each shot.

How to Play: This game should work on iOS and Android devices, as well as web browsers for PC / Mac. Classic Bowling takes the form of a standard, 10-frame solo bowling match. Your ultimate goal is to score a Perfect Game: 10 strikes and 300 points. However, this is virtually impossible for beginner players, and requires a great deal of trial and error. A more realistic target is to play a full game through, and then try to beat your top score with each subsequent attempt.

For mobile / tablet players: Tap on the blue arrows to adjust the stance of your red-shirted bowler. When you are happy with his positioning, tap anywhere on the game screen to bring up the Power Bar. Tap again when this bar is full to the top for maximum shot power. This brings up the final ‘curve’ arrow. Tap anywhere on the screen when the arrow is at your chosen curve angle to execute the shot.

For laptop / desktop players: Use your computer mouse similarly as for finger tapping action above. Alternatively, you can adjust the bowler's position using the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard, and press Spacebar to execute the Power and Curve actions.

There are 10 ‘frames’ in a standard bowling game like this. In each frame, you have 2 opportunities to knock down all the pins. Knocking down all 10 pins with your first shot is a ‘Strike’, and you move directly to the next frame. If there are still pins remaining after your first effort, you get a second chance (bowl). If you knock all 10 pins down after 2 shots, that counts as a ‘Spare’. Strikes and Spares are very useful for multiplying your score in subsequent frames. Remember to play to your strengths – If you're more comfortable with curving the ball in, play your shot a bit wider to begin.
