Specialized off-road, 4X4 truck drivers are a very special breed of vehicle owner. Unbeknownst to the rest of the world, these exceptional motorists hold a secret tournament where the best drivers in the business test their skills against their peers on a series of dramatic obstacle courses set within a cluttered construction site! And, luckily for you, we’ve managed to sneak your very own 4X4 onto the start line! Urban Explorer is a very challenging online driving game where you have to successfully negotiate 8 extremely tricky obstacle-filled circuits featuring a random scattering of scaffolds, barrels, stacked pipes, crates, and other heavy industrial objects. You have to carefully maneuver your powerful off-road truck over these obstacles to a distant finish line.
This fun driving challenge requires a great deal of patience, dogged determination, and more than a little keyboard-tapping skill. Your dominant 4X4 truck is relatively difficult to control, and the added task of vaulting over large obstacles makes this task particularly tough. Keeping the truck balanced at a fairly high speed is the key to success, while a ticking clock and a handy nitro-booster definitely helps you to get the lead out of the exhaust pipe. There is an opportunity for fancy mid-air stunts, but beware; if you allow the vehicle to land on its roof – it’s curtains for the show! How to Play: In each of the 8 increasingly challenging levels, your goal is to reach the ‘Finish Line’ of the obstacle course without crashing the truck onto its roof. You score extra points for completing the course in good time, and for picking up Gold Stars along the way. Use the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard to control your 4X4 vehicle; Up Arrow = Accelerate; Down Arrow = Brake & Reverse; Left Arrow = Lean Back; Right Arrow = Lean Forward.
If you find yourself up against a particularly tricky obstacle, your ‘Nitro Booster’ comes in very handy. Press the Z Key to activate this Nitro Booster, which gives you a powerful burst of speed (indicated by a ball of fire emitting from your exhaust). However, this Booster is not in unlimited supply; once the colored circular bar in the top left corner is empty, you cannot use the Nitro Booster from that point. The trick is to keep your truck balanced as you vault over the various obstacles. If your truck lands on its roof, quickly press the Left and Right Arrows to try and flip it back onto its wheels. However, if the truck remains on its roof for more than a couple of seconds, you ‘fail’ the level, and have to restart from the beginning of the course.
