Heat Rush USA is a time trial-based driving game that should have you literally clinging to the edge of your seat! Make your engine roar on stretches of stunning American highway as you try to complete each circuit in Gold, Silver, or Bronze record time.
This fun, fast-paced sports car game requires good concentration, and almost flawless driving skills! Overtaking, undertaking, drifting, turbo boosting – all of the elements of classic racing games are here. The extra-added incentive is that you are racing "against the clock". Can you beat the record lap times for each of the winding highway courses? Now, it’s high time indeed that you finally asserted your natural driving ability across the nation, and became King or Queen of the Road!
How to Play: In each of the 16 increasingly difficult levels, your goal is to beat the Gold, Silver, or Bronze lap record to progress. Each 1-lap level is a kind-of singular time trial, with the times to beat indicated in the top left corner of the game screen as you zoom along. Use the Arrow Keys or the WASD Keys on your computer keyboard to control your sports car. Up Arrow / W = Accelerate; Down Arrow / S = Brake &Reverse; Left & Right Arrows / A & D = Steer. When the “Boost Meter” in the bottom left corner flashes yellow, press the X or N Key to give your car a massive Boost of Speed. If you achieve a minimum Bronze award, you unlock subsequent tracks.
Keep one eye on your time in the extreme top left corner of the game screen. Beneath this, you can track your progress (the Gold Dot), on a linear map of the track. You earn virtual income for good results, and this can be used to improve your car in the Upgrade Store after each challenge. Try to avoid crashing into any of the other vehicles on the road. If you crash off anything too forcefully, your car goes into a tailspin – losing you valuable seconds. However, if you only lightly touch off of another vehicle, you actually unlock the color of that car in your Upgrade Store. You can then subsequently change your car to the color of the car you came into contact with if you want to. Let’s rev it up!
