Meet Gil – a purposeful purple robot with a determined goal of retrieving as many stolen lightbulbs as it can for its beloved lighthouse! Gil is a straight forward, classic 8-bit pixel / , run-and-jump action game where you must guide Gilbert (Gil for short) on a treacherous quest, and help him to conquer obstacle-filled platform levels filled with bad guy robots, missile deterrents, dangerous water pools, and more!
Some background info: Gil is a peace-loving caretaker for a special Space Lighthouse on a tiny planet in a far-off galaxy. After a cheeky robot army invades and swipes the much-needed spare bulbs for the lighthouse, Gil sets off on an epic, multi-level quest to retrieve them!
Skills required: This fun and addicting skill game tests and exercises all the typical attributes needed for success in a classic platform-based adventure. Sharp reflexes and anticipation skills, good hand-eye coordination, focus and great determination are all very important. Analytical thinking / problem-solving skills also come into play in later levels when you must flip switches and complete tasks in a certain sequence in order to progress.
How to Play: A Flash-based, action platformer game for notebook, laptop and desktop PC / Mac (with certain browsers). There are 4 different worlds (Forest, Mountains, Desert and Caves) with 10 levels in each. Your ultimate task is to collect the lost lightbulb in each increasingly-challenging level. Control Gil's movement using the Left and Right Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard, and press your X Key to jump.
Many levels feature spiky robot enemies, steep ravines, moving platforms, missile—firing turret guns, and other hindrances. If Gil makes contact with any of the bad guys, or falls into the abyss at the bottom of the play area, you fail the level. Luckily, Gil has an unlimited number of lives, and you can re-spawn at the beginning of the level immediately by pressing the X Key.
