Arrow Keys Tapping Game - Shape Escape: Extended
Prepare for a true test of your keyboard-tapping skills and patience! Shape Escape: Extended is a straight-forward yet very difficult skill-based arcade game where you must guide a momentum-based steel marble toward a golden Exit Portal in each level. Much like classic arcade games like Plinko and Pinball, you have to expertly use the contours of the various ledges and bouncy obstacles to successfully navigate the ball through each level. Momentum plays a big part in your control of the marble (steel ball) – With your guidance, the object can increase and decrease in speed and spin-rate as it progresses.
In this retro 80’s-style ball control game, you really have to squeeze every ounce of ability and determination from your body and mind in order to keep the often seemingly unmanageable sphere within your grasp. Lots of trial and error, good hand/eye coordination and great patience are called upon as you must learn from your attempts and mistakes (which are punished routinely and swiftly!). How many of the 30 increasingly difficult maze-like levels will you conquer?
How to Play: Guide the silver ball to the gold Exit Block in each level to progress. Control your steel marble using the Left and Right Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard (Alternatively, use your A and D Keys). In later levels, there are different types of blocks that help / hinder your ball’s path. Green blocks are ‘bouncy’ while black blocks act as a sticky tar-like substance that slows down your ball. Point and click your mouse to change the angle of the green blocks when needed.
You lose a life each time the ball accidentally exits the game zone. You have an unlimited number of lives but you can see how many you have already used in the top left corner of the play area. If you need to quit to the main menu, right click, and choose the ‘Quit to Main Menu’ option. If you find a level really difficult, ask a friend or family member for help with the problem solving.
