Tennis Champions is an epic, challenging, point and click online tennis game where you take part in an ultra-competitive 8-player tournament against difficult computer opponents. Three rounds of quick-fire, shortened tennis matches stand between you and ultimate glory. The only question is: Have you got the super reaction skills and mouse control required to become a truly-great, online tennis ‘Ace’?
This tricky and addicting virtual tennis game (played using your mouse) requires smart reflexes and instinctive hand-eye coordination and mouse control – timing your shots is really important. As in real life, really high concentration levels, natural anticipation skills, and bucket loads of determination are essential traits of a champ as you attempt to keep the ball in play and force your opponent into an error; so good strategy and mental agility play a big part in the road to success. You must anticipate where your opponent's next return is going to land, while varying your own attack at the same time.
How to Play: You compete in the last 8 / quarter final stages of a top tennis tournament. Each match is a shortened, 1-set challenge, with the first player to reach 3 games being declared the winner. Aside from that, the scoring system (15-30-40 etc) remains the same as real life tennis.
Use your computer mouse or touchpad to control your player at the bottom end of the court (closest to you). When serving, Left Click to toss the ball into the air, and click again to strike it. In open play, your player follows the movement of your mouse cursor. Left Click to hit the ball when it arrives in your vicinity.
Getting into the correct position, combined with perfect timing is essential to making a shot and returning the ball – If you swing too early / too late, you more than likely miss the ball or hit it out of bounds. Well-timed shots always go back over the net, and either force your opponent into action, or bounce past him to win the point. See you down on court!
