Cyprus College of Art:
Founded in 1969, the Cyprus College of Art is the oldest art school in Cyprus. We have a strong international reputation, and you will find our former colleagues and students in art colleges and university art departments all over the world. In fact over the years we have attracted major artists to study and work with us, or to simply visit and use our studio space as a base to explore the ancient and fascinating island that is our home. This has included truly great names in world art, including Terry Frost, Euan Uglow, Dennis Creffield, Rachel Whiteread, Clive Head, Humphrey Ocean and many others.

The College was built by artists for artists. As a general rule we expect those using our place to show a true creative spirit. That means they should be resourceful and innovative even when the answers to technical, critical and practical problems are not ready made or easy to find. In fact we ask our artists and students to show exactly the kind of skills they will need in the real world.Art Courses / Programs:

Our Aim:
The main aim of the College is to provide a creative community, in which art and design students can develop their technical and critical skills, and artists can extend their professional practice, under the influence of the history, culture and environment of Cyprus. This means your motivation to come to us should be that you are creative, ambitious and want to be a great artist or designer.
We are not an ordinary art college. We believe there is no point in being an ordinary college as ordinary colleges and universities are dull, bland and all over the place. No great art ever came from being ordinary!
But that also means we are not going to appeal to ordinary people. And that means you should feel free to ask questions before committing yourself to what should be an extraordinary cultural experience.
