The Aztec Aquaplex, located on the San Diego State University (SDSU) campus in northeastern San Diego, is a recreation center & aquaplex offering year-round public swim lessons to children and adults. The facility hosts three swimming pools: an Olympic-size (50 meter) pool, a Recreational pool and a Hydrotherapy spa. There are also two 3-meter and two 1-meter diving boards. Children under 18 years of age must pass a deep water swim test to use the diving boards. All lessons are American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Certified.

The Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy on the Westside of Los Angeles is a swimming school offering a variety of classes to children and adults of all ages and levels. Started in 2005 by 4 time Olympic Gold Medalist Lenny Krayzelburg, "our core purpose is to teach and inspire children to be water safe".
