The Bush Centre For Ballet, Sandy Springs:Located in Sandy Springs, Fulton County, Georgia, The Bush Centre For Ballet offers ballet and pointe lessons for children and adults. Our programs include pre-ballet I for 3 to 4 year olds, pre-ballet II for 5 to 7 year olds, ballet I and II for children of 8 years upwards as well as pointe lessons for children of 11 years upwards. Classes are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. The Director Ms. Bush believes in creating a healthy environment in which students will learn to appreciate the history and various techniques of classical ballet.

Our children’s and teenager´s classes are designed to foster those skills appropriate to their age group and may incorporate respect, sharing, participation, leadership, listening, following directions, and self-discipline. This is achieved through a methodology of instruction as created by the Royal Academy of Dance in order to promote healthy and happy self-images in a fun, controlled class environment. We provide summer dance camps in June and July for children ages 6-9 years, and 10-16 years. They include dance lessons, a ballet related craft project and movies of ballet performances.

Located in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia, Open Door Preschool offers infant, toddler and preschool programs for children of 14 months to 5 years. The school was founded in 1964 when a group of parents opened the first integrated non-sectarian non-profit preschool in Augusta. It was the only preschool with an ‘open door’ policy and was entirely administered by the parents. Today, after 45 years, Open Door Preschool continues to provide a nurturing environment for children.Under the guidance of a lead teacher, our staff plans activities that relate to the developmental goals established and include experiences in art, crafts, construction with blocks and other building toys, use of manipulatory materials, games, presentation of stories, books, music and rhythm and movement.
