Preschool / Childcare Programs:

Toddler program & Preschool program

- Our childcare education programs are well structured in order to provide your child with a solid foundation for learning.
- We develop your children's social skills. Your child will learn the important skill of socialization among his or her peers
- Our childcare programs are offered in a stimulating, engaging and creative atmosphere.

Our childcare programs are designed to give your child a solid academic foundation. In a stimulating environment, the small class size will encourage your child to learn and interact. Each class is tailored for your child’s specific age. We maintain a six to one ratio (children / teacher) in our toddler classes (18 months upwards), and a 12 to one ratio in all preschool classrooms. This enables each child to get the personal and individual attention they need to succeed.

Enrollment Age:

First School La Quinta starts enrollment of children as young as 18 months and teaches and cares for children through their pre-kindergarten years.

Quality Teachers:
With very few exceptions most of our teachers come from right here in the Coachella Valley. College of the Desert has an excellent Early Childhood Development program that routinely produces educated teachers. Although First School rarely hires unseasoned teachers (newly graduated) it is good that our community has a ready supply of Early Childhood specialists entering the labor market.

When we conduct a "Teacher Search" we interview extensively and do background checks. We conduct a Justice Department and F.B.I. clearance prior to hiring.

Parent Testimonial:

"I would like to take a moment to acknowledge how wonderful the staff are at your La Quinta location. When our son started in April, I was impressed with the facility. However, I knew that aside from your beautiful building and play area, it would be more important that the teachers were loving and patient. I realized by his second day at school that we made a good decision.

As a parent, it is the little things that mean so much, like Jessica always greeting us with a smile in the mornings and the teachers making eye contact and welcoming our son, and in the evenings when we pick him up the teachers are still smiling!

You have a well balanced, well run facility. Our son is in a friendly, clean, and caring environment. Yet the many rules and regulations are still followed. I am always comforted when I over hear Yolanda request a picture id from someone she is not familiar with. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the care that my son is given."
- Amy, La Quinta.

Young Actors Studio, Los Angeles

At The Young Actor's Studio in Los Angeles, we offer acting lessons for children, teenagers and young adults. We offer a full conservatory day or a choice of classes for young actors in 3 age groups: 4-6, 7-12, 13 and up. Classes include comedy improvisation, acting for the camera, acting technique, theater production and scene study and originally commissioned plays. We also offer summer camps. Our faculty includes Jeff Alan Lee, a 20 year child acting teacher of such young actors as Scarlett Johansson and Shia LaBeouf.

The classes at our studio are centered around praising each student for who they are and teaching them to use their own behavior, personality, and charm in their roles. They learn to create a unique, original character that is truly their own. In our acting classes, we teach the student to trust themselves to live naturally and effortlessly on camera, or on stage. Through the Stanislavski system, the child, teen or young adult gains a strong confidence that can be applied to all areas of life. The young actor develops a love for the work, and with this, the ability to survive and work as an actor, if that becomes his or her choice.
