Venta Preparatory School opened in 1981 and was the realization of a long-standing dream of Dr. Agatha Sidlaukas to create an environment where children could receive guidance and protection from distracting forces in order to develop to their fullest potential. To this end, Venta provides an enriched and engaging curriculum to sustain motivation and help our students to establish a strong work ethic and appropriate basic skills.
Where Venta Can Take Your Child:
As primarily a Junior School (Grades SK-10), we prepare the students academically and set them out on a path to successfully complete their high school diploma and to move on to their desired post-secondary option. After grade 10 our graduates enrol in both independent and public high schools (for grades 11 and 12), before attending a variety of colleges and universities. For many graduates, their years at Venta laid the groundwork for academic success and life preparedness in high school, college / university, and beyond.

Location:
Venta is situated on 50 acres of scenic woodland with extensive outdoor facilities in an extraordinary country setting. The atmosphere is safe and often compared to that of a summer camp. The school is located 5 minutes from Kanata and 25 minutes west of downtown Ottawa The property provided the setting for the summer program of the University of Ottawa Child Study Centre from 1958 until 1981. Venta's founder, Dr. Agatha Sidlauskas renovated the facilities and opened Venta Preparatory School on September 14, 1981. The property is also the setting for 5 Star Summer Camps run in July and August.

PEAC School For Elite Athletes answers the needs for high performing athletes by delivering the Ontario (Canada) Curriculum in small class sizes, with Ontario Certified Teachers.
