École Québec Monde is a French language school located in Quebec City, Canada. We offer French immersion programs which include intensive French courses and private French lessons. We offer courses in French as a Second Language (FSL) and French as a Foreign Language (FFL). Our services are available to any private, public or para-public companies and corporations, as well as to anyone in the world who wishes to experience a French language study stay in Quebec.

Only language school in the greater Quebec City area to cater strictly to adults. All our students are over 18 years old. With an average age of over 35, our students are full of wisdom.

We offer our French programs in small groups, private lessons and a combination of both. To refresh or improve your French or to learn it from scratch, in an ideal environment, regardless your motivations.

Groups welcome a maximum of 8 students. École Québec Monde knows that to limit the number of students increases the level of individual participation of each student and, therefore, allows the acquirement more quickly a better "mastery" of the target language.

Students must take a written placement test on the first day. The test is followed by an oral interview. We use both the written test and interview to evaluate the students’ level and to design the ideal study program in consideration of their needs and goals. We have 6 different levels, from perfect beginner to expert.

We respect the results of the placement test.

We do not combine levels nor do we place students into a lower or higher-level class.

We never cancel a program for lack of enrollments.

Our school is fully dedicated to the French language. No other language is taught at our school.

Lesson content is based on the use of French on a daily basis and covers all aspects of the French language - speaking, listening, reading and writing. Our programs encourage the active participation of students in their learning. We teach international French, i.e., the standard French used in all French-speaking countries. We put into practice all aspects of language learning with an emphasis on communication and oral comprehension.

Intensive French Course (Français intensif): 20 Hours a Week
Courses from the Francais intensif program are designed so that, for all the levels taught, École Québec Monde meets the need and necessity to learn grammar and vocabulary. The methods used vary - written and oral exercises, homework, viewing authentic audiovisual material, theme-based discussions - and allow the development and mastery of oral and written production and comprehension skills.

In the Français intensif group program, content is based on lesson plans created by École Québec Monde while the approach and methods are adapted to the needs of all members of the group.

Private French Lessons (Français individuel): 1 to 30 hours of private classes a week
Courses from the Français individuel program are tailored to the requirements specified by students. Students are directly involved in the development of their lessons and guide the teacher by clarifying their objectives. The learning techniques used vary - systematic exercises, practice of written and oral tests, role-play - to allow students to acquire the grammatical and lexical knowledge necessary to achieve their objectives.

In the Français individuel program, École Québec Monde adapts the approach and methods according to the precise needs of the student. In this case, the content of the lessons is based on the specific use of French in situations determined by the student.

Combined French Courses (Français sur mesure): Intensive French Program + Private French Lessons (1, 2 or 3 hours per day)
Français sur mesure is an optimum combination of the above-mentioned programs allowing for an intensified progression, depending on the objectives or constraints of the learners.

Objective of the Francais sur mesure Program:
Enabling students to develop and master oral and written production and comprehension skills, allowing them to communicate in French in situations of everyday life and to reach specific linguistic objectives.

For anyone 18 years and older who, for professional, academic or general purposes, wants to improve French language skills in a personalized context.

In addition, we strongly recommend that learners use the Homestay Program during their language training. This option encourages the use of French outside of school hours, makes the immersion program more rigorous, and thus increases the chances of achieving the objectives. Our homestays are geared towards a mature adult clientele, they are quiet, sociable, respectful and helpful. They offer students a unique opportunity to use in authentic context the French notions learned in class.
