Catholic Educational Programs from Preschool through Grade 8:

Preschool Program:
The St. Cornelius Preschool Program offers classes for 3 and 4 year old children. The 4 year old program is five days from 7:55am to 11:00am. We also offer an extended day option until 6:00pm. The 3 year old programs include either a three day per week program (M, W, & F from 12pm - 2:30pm) or a five day per week program (M-F, 12:00pm - 2:30pm). Both 3 year old programs offer an extended day option before school (6:30am - 12:00pm) and after school (2:30pm - 6:00pm). Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Elementary & Middle School Programs (Grades K-8)
We strive to educate students to their fullest potential:

- Spiritually:  By providing for the students religious and moral development, and by fostering and aiding in the development of values taught by Christ as seen through Catholic Scripture and Tradition.

- Intellectually:  By encouraging the students to use their minds and make good decisions. This would include academic skills as well as life skills.

- Affectively:  By helping the students realize that learning includes feelings, interests, attitudes, and appreciation.

- Emotionally:  By helping the students know themselves, feel good about themselves, and grow as caring people.

- Physically:  By helping the students develop strong bodies and by helping the students know and understand good nutritional habits.

- Socially:  By instilling the virtue of love, respect and service to God, family, school, parish, local community and country; by preparing the students to function in our changing society; and by helping the students to relate to their peers and to adults.

Located in Blue Island, a south suburb of Chicago in Cook County, IL, St. Benedict Elementary School is a private, co-educational, Catholic school, serving 178 students in grades PK-8. St. Benedict School fosters a learning climate within our school conducive to academic excellence and spiritual maturity. This helps to develop the children into thinking, problem-solving adults. As a parochial school in the Archdiocese of Chicago, we encourage our students to develop their individual gifts and talents, and we provide the tools to do so though our gifted education curriculum.

This includes a creative hands-on art program and access to a resource room with accelerated reading and math. After school programs such as athletics, band, art club and performing arts are offered to enhance the curriculum. Alpine Academy of Rockford, located in Rockford in Winnebago County in northern Illinois, is a private, Christian grade school, serving students from preschool (3 years) to 6th grade. Our students test 1 - 4 grades higher than the national average. Allendale Association, Lake County
Courses / Programs
Allendale Association is a private, not-for-profit social service agency serving troubled teens / adolescents and children with moderate to profound emotional and behavioral disabilities. We are located in Lake Villa in north-western Lake County, Illinois. These youth and their families receive care and treatment through Allendale's residential treatment programs, day treatment special education schools or from our community based clinical programs and services.

Allendale serves over 700 children, youth and families annually. These children, often victims of abuse, neglect or severe mental illness, come to Allendale with the devastating experiences of failure in the classroom, misunderstanding in the home and isolation in the community. Our programs serve both male and female adolescents and kids ranging in age from eight to eighteen who are experiencing a wide variety of problems.

The more common "labels" are conduct disorder, emotional / behavioral disability, oppositional defiant disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, post traumatic stress, anxiety disorders, pervasive developmental disorders, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders.
- Allendale Association offers a full-time on campus special education program for elementary and high school students.

- We also offer residential treatment programs for troubled teens / kids.
