Cornelius School is an integral part of the St. Cornelius Parish and community at large. In conjunction with the evangelizing mission of the church and parish, St. Cornelius School is called to teach the message of Jesus in a Catholic context. Located in Blue Island, a south suburb of Chicago in Cook County, IL, St. Benedict Elementary School is a private, co-educational, Catholic school, serving 178 students in grades PK-8. St. Benedict School fosters a learning climate within our school conducive to academic excellence and spiritual maturity. This helps to develop the children into thinking, problem-solving adults. As a parochial school in the Archdiocese of Chicago, we encourage our students to develop their individual gifts and talents, and we provide the tools to do so though our gifted education curriculum.

This includes a creative hands-on art program and access to a resource room with accelerated reading and math. After school programs such as athletics, band, art club and performing arts are offered to enhance the curriculum. Science Academy of Chicago
Courses / Programs
Science Academy of Chicago (SAC) is a college preparatory school located at 8300 N. Greenwood Ave, Niles, IL 60714, for grades 1-8, with special emphasis on math, science and technology. SAC provides an environment of learning and continuous growth for students to reach their highest potential - intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. In the Continental Math League, SAC was ranked 4th Top School in League, 2nd school in the State and 2nd Top School in Chicago Region (11 Gold Medal, 5 Silver Medal, and 8 Special Awards).

Five of our students were also chosen to present their project in the State Science Exposition. SAC took Third Place and two special awards in National Engineers "Week Chicago Regional Future City Competition".

The Children's House Lake Meadows provides distinct and proven Early Education Experience programs for children ages 6 weeks through to 12 years of age. The Children's House is privately owned, and currently operates 4 facilities in Cook County, Illinois, including Chicago City, Park Forest and Markham. The Children's House Lake Meadows is fully licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

We employ only qualified teachers and teachers aides, and keep our class sizes small to provide your child with a comfortable environment that is conductive to learning. Our endeavor is to provide parents, regardless of their hours of work or school schedule, with quality care for their children. Because of our desire to accommodate the many schedules incurred in the 21st century, The Children's House is open 130 hours a week, versus the normal 60 hours at most child care centers.

Children's Garden Montessori, Oak Park

Children's Garden Montessori is located in Oak Park, west of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. It is a Montessori Pre-school & Kindergarten with daycare education programs for children ages 2 through to 6 years, of all races, religions and national origin. Children's Garden Montessori pre-school is a privately owned and operated school, chartered in Oak Park and licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services.

We serve Oak Park, Melrose Park, Galewood, Montclare, Elmwood Park and surrounding communities. Children must be at least 2 yrs old before entry and can stay until they complete the Kindergarten Year. We employ both Montessori & Early Childhood Education trained teachers.

- We follow the Montessori curriculum with interactive learning programs.
- We offer both an English and a Spanish Language Immersion program.

Acacia Academy Private Special Education / Therapeutic School

Acacia Academy is an accredited, private special education / therapeutic school for grades 1-12 and offers a Transition Program for ages 18-22 servicing the Chicago, IL area. The Acacia tree symbolizes what our school strives to achieve: educational stability with roots of strength and character that will last a lifetime making Acacia Academy a safe place to grow and learn.

Offering a variety of school year and summer programs designed to meet each student’s learning objectives in terms of his/her learning capabilities. Acacia Academy is AdvancED accredited and has locations in La Grange and Burr Ridge Illinois.

The Illinois State Board of Education has approved Acacia Academy for out-of-district placement for special education. Students from all over northern Illinois attend Acacia Academy. In many cases, the school district provides tuition and transportation. 

Acacia teachers are flexible in their approach to teaching and will personalize the curriculum to adhere to the student learning needs, as opposed to the student modifying themselves for the curriculum. Differentiated Instruction (DI) is a systematic approach to planning curriculum and instruction for an academically diverse learner through responsive teaching. 

Responsive teaching is focusing on who we teach, what we teach, where we teach, and how we are teaching.  Teachers consider student characteristics of readiness, interests and learning styles while planning curriculum.
