St. Benedict Elementary School (SBES), a Catholic educational community serving grades PreK-8, inspires and cultivates a balance of faith, academic excellence, and individual talents in a diverse, personalized setting. Catholic Education Programs for Pre-K through Grade 8:
St. Benedict Elementary School has a terrific professional development partnership with DePaul University, giving our teachers the opportunity to be leaders as well as life-long learners. The partnership gives our students the advantage of having DePaul's finest pre-service teachers assist in the classrooms, which lowers our already tight student-teacher ratio. Our amazing and dedicated teachers provide educational opportunities that employ the best methods.
This includes our Authentic Portfolio Assessment Program and cutting-edge technology. Students work across grade level
s with their Faith Buddies and other mentoring programs. In addition to our core classes, students receive Spanish, Art, Computers, Music and Religion.
When the school day is over, a whole new set of opportunities await, including scouts, clubs, sports, music, Student Council and more. Simply put, there is something for everyone after school. As a community, SBES is committed to service, both to our peers and to those less fortunate. Athletics:
We strive to offer as much as we can to all the students at our school. Our kickball programs, which began at the beginning of 2007, are now offered to students in Kindergarten through to 5th grade. This is thanks to our parent volunteers who monitor 2 seperate intramural leagues. K-2 meet on Wednesdays after school for an hour and the 3-5 grades meet on Mondays after school for an hour.
We offer sports throughout the school year. Our fall sports include co-ed cross country and girls' volleyball. Our winter sports are 4th-8th grade boys and girls basktball and cheerleading for Kindergarten through to 8th grade. The sports offered in the spring are 4th-6th grade co-ed baseball, 7th and 8th grade boys baseball and 6th-8th grade girls softball, and we'll be offering 6th-8th grade boys volleyball that will not interfere with the baseball season!

The Russian School of Mathematics

The Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) was created in Boston 15 years ago. Today, RSM has over 6,000 students in more than a dozen branches located in 5 states. This fall, we are very excited to be opening a Russian School of Mathematics in Naperville, IL, just 30 miles west of Chicago. RSM provides a unique, award-winning after-school mathematics enrichment program, based on the best practices of advanced math schools in Russia and Europe and adapted to the U.S. educational environment. We teach students at all levels - elementary school, middle school, high school and home school. We offer a whole academic year program, with weekly classes and homework.
The RSM program was developed based on classical traditions of systematic math education. Our goal is to help children build a solid foundation for future success in taking the SAT and college mathematics. The Paintbrush, Chicago

The Paintbrush, opened in 2005, is a children's art studio owned by sisters Melanie and Mindy Apel in Lakeview on the North Side of Chicago, Cook County, IL. At The Paintbrush, kids do more than just paint. Starting at 18 months old, kids learn about famous artists, listen to music and create their own inspired works of art and projects inspired by the artists' styles. The Paintbrush offers a selection of classes geared to different ages along with workshops and summer camp. Classes are ongoing, so kids can join anytime.
The mission of The Paintbrush is to introduce young children to the wonderful world of art. The main goal is to teach kids to love art and have an understanding of the artists they study and whose works inspire their own creations.

The Stage School

The Stage School is a part time performing arts school for children ages 4-16. Our classes for kids and teens are held in Park Ridge IL, 20 minutes north-west of Downtown Chicago.The Stage School nurtures your child’s potential as they experience fun activities in drama classes, dance classes, and singing classes every Saturday.
In our classes, students will develop the core fundamentals of acting, singing, and dance. All students receive top quality, personalized instruction in all three disciplines.
Our classes consist of a variety of fun and engaging activities which help kids succeed both on and off the stage.
There are many worthwhile children’s activities in Park Ridge, but The Stage School provides a unique and fun learning environment.
Every Saturday our school is filled with children singing, children dancing, children acting, and engaging in a variety of fun activities. We look forward to having you join the fun!
