Summer English Courses for Juniors in England, UK

Rossall Summer School:
Rossall Summer School provides an intensive English language summer programme combined with fun activities and cultural excursions, as well as pre-Sixth Form Maths courses, IB Diploma Preparation, and fun recreational summer courses for kids among others. Rossall is 20 minutes north of Blackpool airport and one hour north of both Manchester and Liverpool international airports. Our summer school runs for 8 weeks during the summer holidays on our stunning coastal campus with plenty of space to explore. We recommend that each pupil stays for a minimum of two weeks. We teach in small classes (no more than 10 students per class) ensuring each pupil receives individual attention.

Residential Summer School Programmes:

- Intensive English Language Summer Programme:
For girls and boys ages 11 - 17 years:

- 1-8 week courses available ( 2 weeks minimum recommended)
- Inclusive course fees
- Run by Rossall's own full-time specialist teaching staff
- Residential safe campus with 24 hour supervision
- Small class sizes (no more than 10 students per class)
- Telephone and email access for all students
- Full sporting, cultural and social programme
- Meet and greet service from Blackpool, Manchester and Liverpool airports

- Recreational Academic / Activity Programme:
This programme is suitable for children of all ages. After a morning of studying, pupils can enjoy an afternoon of sport and activities, and in the evenings there will be a social programme designed to build friendships. Students have full use of Rossall's superb facilities, as well as cultural and social activities on and off campus. This also includes a wide variety of weekly excursions to different cities and attractions in the North of England.

On our excursions, you will be able to visit one of the following places every week: York, Liverpool, Manchester, The Lake District, Chester, Bronte Country, London, Stratford-upon-Avon or Leeds. Travel, food and group activities withing the arranged excursions are included in the course fees. Additional drinks, refreshments, souvenirs and personal shopping are extra and should be paid for by the student.

- Pre-Sixth Form Maths Course:
In addition to our Summer School we run a Pre-Sixth Form Maths Course which can be taken as a separate course or in tandem with the Summer School Course.  So if you wish to apply for Summer School for the early part of the summer you can transfer onto the Maths Course in August for the last part of the Summer break. This course is only for students who are to join Rossall Sixth Form or another UK boarding school for Sixth Form in September 2011.  However, students joining Rossall School will get priority, and places are limited.

- Pre-Sixth Form Intensive Mathematics Course:
This courses is designed by Rossall School for students wishing to study maths at Sixth Form either on the A-Level or I.B. Diploma course which takes place in the final two weeks of the summer holiday. Students must be accepted onto either the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme or the A-Level Mathematics course at Rossall's Sixth Form or at another British School in the UK.
