Summer French Immersion in France
Altiplano Training:
Altiplano Training offers a unique French summer school for children and adults in Mens in the south east of France. Prefaucon Farm provides a stimulating, and friendly and fun environment which allows you to develop your linguistic ability. After your French lessons you will put what you learn into practice by living and eating with a French family, and learning about the French way of life.

Prefaucon Farm is a working farm where Jean-Louis is the gardener, and Sophie looks after her 100 ewes, welcomes guests and cooks very good local food, fresh from their own garden. They also make their own local Trieves wine, from their vineyards. French Summer School for Children & Adults:
A 5-day immersion course where you are immersed in French life and culture (6 nights accommodation).
Children are looked after by their own French language teacher and have their own program of activities and classes with local children, each day, so they learn to use the French language naturally. There will be 2 groups of approximate ages 6-9, then 10+, each group with their own teacher and their own independent study program. Adults can also study the French language with us or help out on the farm, or follow their own activity program.
Craft courses in pottery, felt-making, watercolour painting, painting furniture, organic cookery, medicinal plants and “green” construction techniques are all possible, all in French! Popular sports and activities include walking, mountain biking, windsurfing & kite surfing, horse riding and paragliding. Courses in these sports are also available.
Mens:
Mens is the market town for the Trieves; a wonderful plateau of rolling farmland and forests surrounded by the mountains of the Vercors and the Ecrins in south-east France. This is real France where you are unlikely to hear English spoken, 40min south of Grenoble and 2 hrs south of Lyon. Here you stay with a local family, discuss life & politics and farming and 'Europe', and enjoy the atmosphere and live music in the cafés.
The Trieves Plateau is home to France's most important "green" centre - Terre Vivante - and the ethos of organic farming and green building permeate the region. Group language lessons are timed to include the "foire Bio"; the annual "green" fair of the Trieves which takes place at the end of September every year. Lyon St Exupéry is the nearest international airport. Grenoble has daily flights from London.

Ostroverhy Workshops in Paris and Agay, Cote d'Azur, France offer all year seascape, landscape and portrait lessons to students of all levels of skill. Paint in the presence of a European master in the most inspiring scenery France has to offer. Our workshops are lead by Sergio Ostroverhy, finalist of both BP and PSOA competitions, and explore the secrets of à la prima landscape oil-painting, and classical portrait drawing.
