BBIS is one of the world’s leading International Baccalaureate (IB) schools and proudly offers all four IB programmes to students from over 60 countries, as well as a huge range of extracurricular activities. BBIS is the first International Baccalaureate (IB) school in the world to be fully authorized by the IB organization in Geneva, Switzerland to teach all four IB programs covering the 3-19 age range. The school is also fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA).

BBIS Boarding School is the first English language boarding school in Germany. BBIS is currently home to 65 boarding students from across the globe, who have joined us for Grades 9 to 12 of schooling.

We structure boarding life – everything from our exceptional facilities to daily routines and duties – to help students realise these goals within a nurturing and safe environment. 

BBIS Boarding School is currently home to students from Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Colombia, Croatia, France, Germany, India, Iran, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lithuania, Malawi, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the Ukraine and the USA.

From ages 3-6, children join our early education community, which takes inspiration from Reggio Emilia

From ages 6-11, students join Grades 1 to 5 to pursue the IB Primary Years Programme

From ages 11-19, students join our secondary school to pursue the IB Middle Years Programme, IB Diploma Programme and IB Careers Programme.

Life at BBIS is multifaceted with a diverse range of opportunities to develop talents, focus on interests and explore new ones as part of the lessons and extra curricular activities. We value our green and spacious campus space and the opportunities it offers. Throughout the year, we provide students with balanced and varied programmes. BBIS staff members and external instructors offer their time and commitment to supporting students outside the classroom - whether it be coaching sports teams, producing musicals, leading field trips to Berlin or supporting student leadership initiatives in or outside school. This enables us to constantly expand and adapt to growing needs of our student body.

It is our goal to stimulate and encourage all students to participate in after school activities and extra-curricular productions. We are committed to ensuring each student can find a positive environment to help their holistic development, which includes the chance  and by doing so, to develop new friendships, share and develop passions and integrate into our an international community while participating in cultural exchange.
