Established in 1981, the Swiss School of Management - European University of Rome is a business school located in Rome within the Università Europea di Roma. SSM offers a range of undergraduate and graduate degree courses that provide a truly practical business education but also combine the latest in technology with the most forward-thinking business, educational and leadership ideas. Our courses include Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) among others. The language of instruction is English. MBA - Master of Business Administration Degree Program (Full-time):
An MBA is recognized in every country as higher form of management qualification. It is often a measure for the increase in salary and a promotion. One of the most common reasons Participants give for pursuing an MBA is a career change. The SSM MBA is a 12 months program and is based on a common curriculum and a major. The core curriculum consists of General Management courses.

This is the first MBA program in the world, featuring "One on One" Coaching throughout the program.

Upon successful completion of the core curriculum each student progresses towards the specialization courses (Major). The program is designed to equip Participants with capabilities required for successful career of General Managerial level and beyond. The majors offered at SSM are:

Dual MBA Degree Program - Swiss School of Management and INSEEC Paris:
In keeping with our commitment to innovation and academic adventure, the Swiss School of Management, European University of Rome offers a joint dual MBA degree program through which students can pursue study in a combination of specializations. This program is offered jointly between SSM EUR and INSEEC in Paris.

SSM students will transfer to INSEEC in Paris at the beginning of the spring term for a duration of seven weeks (from end of May to mid July), where they have to take seven classes in one of the INSEEC's MBA concentrations stated below:

- Marketing
- Luxury Management
- Human Resources Management
- Finance

Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Degree Program:
The Executive MBA (EMBA) Program at the Swiss School of Management is designed specifically for high-achieving businesspeople that are looking to enhance their education without interrupting their careers. The program’s innovative curriculum and collaborative learning environment helps you apply your knowledge and skills to problems you face in today’s marketplace. An outstanding faculty exposes you to cutting-edge ideas and practices — ideas and practices that others will later adopt, teach and apply.

The EMBA Program alternates between in-class lectures and independent guided studies, allowing busy candidates to continue their studies despite their busy schedule of travelling. The curriculum typically covers functional areas of business and the integration of those functional areas. As a result, students gain an understanding of the enterprise as a whole, as well as the ways in which all parts of the business fit together.

Only experienced faculty members lead courses. Many serve as consultants to industry, and they often are recipients of teaching awards. Courses cover much of the same areas as in traditional MBA programs: accounting, finance, statistics, management, marketing, and information systems.

MBA Distance Learning Degree Course:
As a busy and ambitious professional, you may want the range of skills and expertise that an MBA can provide, but do not have time to accommodate the schedule of a less flexible MBA program. The SSM Master of Business Administration program is specifically designed to provide an intellectually demanding and rigorous program that enables you to study when and where you wish and to take examinations anywhere in the world. Distance education enables you to work at your own pace (within certain limits), at the times which suit your lifestyle, personal circumstances and in an environment of your choice.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or BA (Hons) in Business Management:
Our Bachelor of Business Administration Program prepares individuals to plan, organize, direct, and control the functions and processes of a firm or organization. Includes instruction in management theory, human resources management and behaviour, accounting and other quantitative methods, purchasing and logistics, organization and production, marketing, and business decision-making.

The first two years of the program are in Rome. The final year, you can either continue your studies in the European Union or in the United States.
