Evangel House Christian Academy:
Evangel House Christian Academy (EHCA), located in St. Martinville (18 miles southeast of Lafayette), Louisiana, is an accredited Therapeutic Boarding School for girls with mild mood or behavior disorders, substance abuse, academic issues or family problems offering Grades 6-12.

Therapeutic Boarding School for Girls (Grades 6 -12)
We are well equipped to treat teens for mild depression, anxiety, ADHD, or mild forms bipolar disorders. Our trademark approach engages all students in a five-stage process toward spiritual, emotional, academic, social, and physical maturity. 

Nationally-Accredited Curriculum:

Licensed teachers administer a nationally accredited curriculum at Evangel House Christian Academy. Our therapeutic evaluation process guides education planning for each student.

Our high level of personal attention makes it possible to accommodate a variety of student needs ranging from advanced placement to those who may have learning difficulties presented by emotional problems, or mood disorders. An integrative classroom day incorporates biblical teaching, group counseling, academic work music education and physical education.

The Lifeleaf Approach:

We support students in five areas of growth: spiritual, therapeutic, academic, social and physical. We identify each of these as a lifeleaf. Transferable Credits:
Our accredited program allows for the easy transfer of credits back home to the local school district. Or, for those who wish to graduate, our High School Diploma is fully accredited and eagerly accepted at the college or university level.

Privacy:
Evangel House Christian Academy is licensed by the Louisiana Department of Education as a non-public school. However, our curriculum, academic transcripts, and diplomas are administered through a nationally recognized distance learning school.

This allows for privacy when residents transfer or graduate. The therapeutic nature of the program is not associated with academic records, which helps to prevent "labels."

Fine Arts and Enrichment Education:
In addition to our rigorous academic training, students have the opportunity for an elective music theory credit as part of our curriculum. On weekend enrichment activities students participate in acoustic guitar lessons, driver's education course, etiquette classes, aikido self -defense training, piano, voice or violin lessons, and Red Cross First Aid & CPR Certification.

Every spring students participate in the National Fine Arts Festival. Students may choose from over 52 categories offered in 7 main divisions: Art, Communication, Drama, Exhibition, Instrumental, Vocal, and Writing.

Our school is structured with the christian family in mind. The profile EHCA student has come from a successful christian home, but may have recently struggled in her spiritual relationship with God.

Most EHCA students have a history of demonstrating great potential. Most have been involved in church, youth group, and may have even gone on mission's trips or other outreaches.

Located 80 miles north of Jackson, Mississippi, French Camp Academy (FCA) is a private, Christian coeducational boarding school for children from 1st to 12th Grades. Established in 1885, FCA is accredited through the Mississippi Department of Education.

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18.

We welcome students from Texas, across the United States, & students from around the world (TWAI is authorized to issue 1-20's for international students). 

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.

TWAI graduates average a 3.5 GPA. It is common for a student to complete 1.5 years of course work in 1 year.
