Our program stresses four main areas of development: intellectual, physical, emotional, and social. Each Preschooler is encouraged to learn at his/her own pace, and the program emphasizes varied learning experiences with various materials and equipment.

Some topics covered during the school year include: colors, shapes, alphabet recognition, phonics, numbers through 10, size relationships, machines, nature, plant cycles, family and self, feelings, transportation, community helpers, animals, growth and nutrition, the five senses, space, dinosaurs, holiday themes, and a daily science curriculum.

Teacher directed activities are presented each morning and the teacher/student ratio is 1:8. By the time they enter Kindergarten, the children have been exposed to our curriculum of reading and math readiness, music, physical education, and creative play.

Elementary School
St. Martin’s offers a traditional academic program, providing a basic foundation in mathematics, reading, language arts, penmanship, literature, study skills, science, history, social studies and health. We also offer a comprehensive enrichment program that may consist of; art, computers, music and drama, performing arts, religious instruction, Spanish, physical education, library, educational field trips and/or community service projects.

Our library is well maintained and our students use the library as a source of information for the various reports and projects they complete throughout the year. Students also learn the skills for using a library and are introduced to works of literature. Our music, drama, and performing arts programs are introduced to all students as a means of communication of ideas, feelings and creativity. Students participate as audience when we invite performers to the school, and as pImage of Private Preschool - Middle School, San Fernando Valleyerformers in our Christmas and/or Spring programs, which we invite you to attend and enjoy.

Our art program allows the students to participate in a variety of creative projects using many different mediums. We encourage a love and appreciation of art in all the children. Physical education is an integral part of our program that helps build spirit and encourage unity. It also promotes wellness and seeks to encourage a lifetime appreciation of physical fitness.

Our Chapel program is attended by all students from Kindergarten (once a week) and Grades 1-5 (4 times a week) and encourages students to discover the presence of God in their lives. All students, Kindergarten through 5th Grade, enjoy participating in our Community Service program. Whether it is making Easter baskets for abused children or collecting food for local homeless families, St. Martin’s students learn the value of compassion and caring and recognize their own ability to contribute to their communities.
