Anna May Daulton Elementary School, located in Grand Prairie, Texas, is an Elementary school offering Pre-K through 4th grade programs. Anna May Daulton taught school in the Mansfield school district for 30 years and passed away on June 1, 2006. Anna May Daulton Elementary opened August 2006. Mrs. Daulton was born Feb. 10, 1918, in Dallas, the daughter of Carl B. and Beulah Blevins Howard. She graduated from North Texas State Teachers College in Denton in 1939, with a degree in Elementary Education.

Get Fired Up About Reading:

Photo of Private School in Grand Prairie, TXStudents will add scales to Drake the Dragon as we get Fired Up About Reading! We will watch Drake the Dragon grow with the books our little dragons read. Students will earn a scale for each reading log they complete and turn it in to Mrs. Brookby, Drake the Dragon's caretaker. Pk-1st grade will read 10 age-appropriate books (fiction or non-fiction) for each log. Pk-K parents may read aloud to students, while 1st graders need to read, with help if necessary, aloud to their parents. 2nd-4th graders will read 3 chapter books (fiction or non-fiction) for each log.

Each log must have a parent signature, and the books read should be age appropriate. Mrs. Brookby will review the reading logs as they come in and address any issues such as 4th graders reading well below their level.
