Anna May Daulton was born Feb. 10, 1918, in Dallas, the daughter of Carl B. and Beulah Blevins Howard. She graduated from North Texas State Teachers College in Denton in 1939, with a degree in Elementary Education.

Anna May Daulton Elementary School is located in the Mansfield Independent School District. This district contains the third highest portion of the Grand Prairie's K-12 student population serving residents located south of the intersection of Camp Wisdom and Lake Ridge, and west of Joe Pool Lake to the Tarrant and Ellis County line in southwest Grand Prairie.

Established in 1886, San Antonio Academy is one of only 16 all-boys independent elementary schools in the nation, and the only one of its kind in Texas.
