Bournemouth City College:
Bournemouth City College (BCC) is an English language school located in Bournemouth, Dorset on the south coast of England. We offer a range of quality English courses at competitive prices for international students of all nationalities including Academic English for those who wish to proceed to higher education and English for specific purposes such as business or professions such as Medicine, Engineering etc. We also offer business and computing courses that lead to professional qualifications. General English Language Course
BCC provides General English courses at all levels from absolute beginners to advanced. There are two General English courses: standard - 15 hours tuition per week and intensive - 22.5 hours tuition per week. Course length and content is closely linked to a well-respected course books such as "Headway", "Cutting Edge" or "Total English". Moreover, all the course materials are designed to ensure the students' progress in grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing skills.

The minimum course period is 4 weeks, although students may book for less than the minimum period. However, many students choose to stay considerably longer and progress through a number of levels until they have reached the desired standard.

Normally lessons start at 9AM and finish at 12.30PM or 3PM depending on the course weather its standard or intensive.

English Plus Business course
The Business English course is designed for young business professionals who require a short study course to improve their Business English communication skills. The course will help students to develop their skills to help in a work place or to help find a placement, and it will give you experience in Marketing and Meetings.
This course includes 3 hours of General English language in the morning and 3 hours of Business English in the afternoon everyday. The afternoon lessons concentrate on the vocabulary and terminology needed for reporting and contract reading, writing, role play for business meetings and interviews, conducting presentations and business assignments.

Moreover, at the end of the course the students will be able to:
1) read business texts easier
2) communicate more confident is English work environment
3) analyse and review business concepts
4) basic concepts of how to manage people and business
5) be more familiar with a bit of marketing and finance terminology

Academic English language course
Bournemouth City College has formal links to more than 50 British universities and colleges for international students who wish to continue their education in Higher Education. Depending on the subject chosen for further study, students must get 6.0 or more in International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Success in the IELTS is a requirement of all respected British Higher Education providers.

Therefore, the Academic English course concentrates on reading, writing, speaking and listening skills and prepares students for IELTS.
