STACCATO!:
STACCATO! is a music school in Singapore that specializes in teaching classical music to children and adults in fun, creative and unconventional ways. We believe classical music can be enjoyed by all ages and we focus not only on developing music competence in our students but also in creating an enjoyable holistic learning experience by cultivating an appreciation and love for classical music.
Early Childhood Music Curriculum
Under the Early Childhood Music Curriculum, music and movement sessions are specially designed for young children 1-6 years of age in a group setting with their parents or caregivers
We adopt a theme-based approach which helps children and adults relate different music pieces to various interests or topics. This approach brings across the relevance of classical music to our daily life. Examples of themes include Classical Composers, Animals, The Seasons, etc.
The STACCATO! methodology adopts not only the music education philosophies of renowned music educators of Carl Orff, Dalcroze, Suzuki and Kodály, it is also built on a well-researched premise that classical music brings overwhelming positive benefits for young children.
World Music Program
This program provides adults and children 6 years and above with a unique opportunity to experience music from around the globe. It is designed to provide fun, hands on, and practical music making sessions using a variety of instruments from regions around the world.
