Free Online Drift Racing Game - Forest Drift
Forest Drift is a very challenging online racing game that tests if you can master the tricky skill of drifting on 6 devilishly difficult race tracks, and compete against 4 other computer controlled ‘drifters’ in a mad dash to the Checkered Flag. Simply powering your car around corners is not enough; you have to show the deftness of touch that is unique to only the most skilled drivers. Do you count yourself among the elite?
When executed properly – ‘drifting’ is one of the most iconic and graceful driving techniques imaginable. The sight of a powerful racing machine sweeping majestically around a corner is so breathtaking that they’ve even made feature-length movies about it! If you are still unacquainted with the term, ‘drifting’ is when a driver deliberately over-steers the car into an oncoming corner at high speed, resulting in the back wheels locking up. The ice-cool driver keeps control of the front wheels, and ‘drifts’ the vehicle beautifully through a tricky bend. This tough racing challenge is not for the faint-hearted. It takes endless practice, determination, and trial and error to become proficient in the art. Have you got the hands, and steely nerve to become a drifting legend? How to Play: You compete in 6 increasingly challenging races on six different corner-filled tracks (The amount of laps of the track increases as you progress). You must finish in 1st place to progress to the next track, and anything less is no good here! Use the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard to control your car (always the red race car); Up Arrow = Accelerate; Down Arrow = Reverse; Left & Right Arrows = Steer. Hit Spacebar to brake. Steering the car through corners can be extremely difficult at first. You may find that you over-steer the car into a tail-spin more than once in your initial efforts. Don’t worry, practice helps makes perfect!
The trick is to lightly tap the Left and Right Arrows to successfully drift around corners. This technique (along with intelligent use of the brake), should prove fruitful in your quest to win all 6 races. You can see your race position along the top right of the game screen (having typed in your race nickname at the start of the game). Along the top of the game screen, your race time, level, and lap number are indicated. You can also toggle the music on and off by clicking the blue speaker icon in the extreme top right corner.
