Marianapolis Preparatory School:
Situated in Thompson, Windham County CT (1 hour from Boston), Marianapolis Preparatory School (MPS) is an accredited, co-ed, college preparatory day & boarding school offering Grades 9-12 and a postgraduate year. Academics are the heart of a Marianapolis education, and each student thrives within a rigorous college preparatory course of study. Marianapolis nurtures students to become responsible and independent learners, as well as challenges students with an exciting and extensive program emphasizing breadth of intellectual exposure, depth of study, and significant out-of-class preparation.
History:
Marianapolis was established in 1926 under the sponsorship of the Congregation of Marians of the Immaculate Conception. Originally called Marianapolis Academy, the school’s mission was to prepare young men to take leadership roles in society and in the Catholic Church with poise, confidence, and competence.
Although Marianapolis was empowered by the State of Connecticut in 1936 to confer college degrees, during World War II the decision was made to become exclusively a preparatory school, one of excellence and distinction.
Marianapolis Preparatory School was accredited by the New England Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges in 1955.
The school became coeducational in 1974. In 2001, the Trinity Foundation (a group of parents, alumni, and friends) assumed governance of the school, naming Marilyn Ebbitt Headmistress. The Trinity Foundation officially purchased the school in February of 2010.

Located in Putnam, Connecticut, Putnam Science Academy is a private boarding school for boys offering a comprehensive college preparatory program focusing on science, mathematics, and technology. PSA is a small structured school delivering a rigorous, innovative educational program. Our school offers small classes and a unique advisor program.

The Kildonan School

Located in Amenia, Dutchess County NY, The Kildonan School is an accredited, co-educational day and boarding school for children and teenagers with dyslexia and language-based learning differences. Only 90 miles north of New York City, we offer educational programs for elementary, middle and high school students (Grades 2-12). Boarding programs are available for students in grades 7-12, with 5-day & 7-day options available.
Our mission is to empower students with dyslexia by increasing their self-esteem and motivation. Students often come to us from educational experiences where they struggled to find success because that environment did not recognize their potential and/or know how to meet their needs.
Kildonan uses a pure Orton-Gillingham approach, which is an instructional approach intended primarily for use with persons who have difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing of the sort associated with dyslexia.

Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI)

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18.We welcome students from Massachusetts, across the U.S., and students from around the world (TWAI is authorized to issue 1-20's for international students).
In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).
TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.
We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.
