Behavioral Re-Education Program with Physical Readiness Training:
During the first several weeks of placement, your son will be participating in the Preparatory Phase of PRT. This phase increases general physical strength, endurance and mobility.

'Doctrine of Discipline':
Immediately upon entry into the program your son will be immersed into a highly structured, highly disciplined program. Every moment will be planned and scheduled. He will be taught the fundamentals of Military Science.

He will learn how to stand at attention, at ease, and at rest. He will learn how to face right, about face, and fall in, in a rank. He will be thoroughly trained and indoctrinated to the 7 Core Values and will make these a part of his everyday life.

During the first 90 days he will spend the majority of his time learning how to obey orders and comply to directives. He will have his physical body pushed to it's limits and will spend many hours in "the Pit" (our physical training area).

He will develop a team concept and will realize that he can do things he never thought he could do. During this time he will also take the Physical Readiness Training Test. This test will evaluate his physical capabilities. If he has worked hard he will pass. This will be the first of many milestones that he will achieve.

Treatment Plan:
In the first few weeks of placement a Treatment Plan will be established with your son. This is a tool by which we measure your son's progress on his presenting problems.

As he progresses in the program these goals are achieved and new ones are set as your son progresses to the next stage of the program.

Training Schedule:

Month 1-3 - Red Phase:
- Toughening Phase of PT
- Physical Readiness Test
- Establish Goals & Treatment Plan

Month 4-6 - White Phase:
- Conditioning Phase of PT
- Youth will be recognizing issues that brought them here

Month 7-12 - Blue Phase:
- Maintenance Phase of PT
- Youth will be actively working on issues
- Youth will begin owning responsibility for issues
- Youth will be able to qualify for increased visitation

Therapeutic Component:
In addition to being provided with a highly structured highly disciplined program your teen will also receive daily anger management, behavioral re-direction, conflict resolution, and relationship building skills as well as Life Skills Training.

Visitation:
Because we are focused on returning your son back to the family within 12 months, we make sure that he realizes the importance of visitation with you.

There will be times when your son will not be able to go home for the weekend due to his behavior or un-willingness to comply with rules, however an on or off-ground visit will be scheduled to insure that family relations are strengthened.

First Visit:
When you come to visit your son, (typically after four weeks), you will most likely see a drastic change already. He will be more positive, communicating better with you, and actually being decent about things.

Before you fall for the trap to take him home, beware! Don't be fooled. A few weeks does not tear down the walls that he has built up over time. A new solid foundation has not yet been built in your child.

Of course, don't be disappointed if you don't see change right away either. Initial changes are surface and are not lasting anyway, so if it takes more time to see the change, simply realize that gradual change is longer lasting.
