Milan is the second largest city in Italy with a population of about 7.4 million. The city is situated in the North of Italy in the province of Lombardy. Milan is renowned as a capital of design and fashion. In fact even the English word millinery (meaning woman's hats) is derived from the name of the city. Milan boasts many of the worlds top designers which can be experienced by visitors to the city that wonder through the many streets lined with the expensive boutiques and design houses.

SDC Milano is situated in the centre of Milano, close to all the exciting attractions and sites. The College is equipped with the latest state of the art technology and resources. The interior design of the college is completely unique and has been designed by professional interior designers to ensure that students feel creative in their environment.


Location and Facilities:

- Studios
Each studio is equipped with worktops. Light boxes are available for students to use. Each studio has an LCD television, DVD machine and AV cable which lecturers use for their presentations in their teaching.

- Computer Room
Computers

The computer room boasts new high specification computers suitable for design software.

Printer
A colour photo printer and copy printer are available for students to use to print out their designs and photographs.

Internet
The entire college is a Wi-Fi hotspot so students are able to use their laptops or cell phones to access the net. All the computers at SDC have access to internet for research purposes.

- Sewing Room
Sewing machines and overlocker machines are provided for students to use.

- Canteen
The Canteen is where students can relax and socialise. The room is stocked with light meals and drinks so students can have their meals at the College. The Canteen also has computers which students may use for personal reasons such as checking facebook/twitter or emailing home.

Based in a mountain retreat in the Apennine mountains between Bologna and Florence, The Culinary Institute of Bologna  (CIBO) offers year-round, private cooking lessons and culinary vacations. Taught by English speaking, professional restaurant chefs, CIBO provides 3 to 7 day cooking experiences that are customized to the skill level of the participant.  Chef Stefano Corvucci will teach you the techniques learned from Pellegrino Artusi, the founder of modern Italian cuisine.

The Apennine Mountains offer a wide variety of historic, culture, natural and artistic sites. The seaside village of Rimini is about 1 hour away. You will be picked up in either Bologna or Florence and taken to a hotel near the mountain retreat.  You will have lessons from lunch to dinner in the Chef's kitchen and also have the opportunity to cook over a fireplace, stone oven or outdoor grill.

CIBO classes cater for beginner to advanced level food lovers. We also offer online lessons that are one on one with the chef.  You can cook along in your own kitchen and invite friends to join.
