International Camp Minairo:
Minairó, located at 1,700 meters in the Pyrenees near the ski resort of La Molina (100km from Barcelona), north east Spain, is a Spanish language summer & winter camp offering programs to children and teenagers aged between 8 and 16. The camps are two or three weeks long. At Minairó, not only will students engage in Spanish language training, but they will also enjoy wonderful experiences that will remain in their memory forever while forming great friendships with peers from all over the world.
Our Spanish language camps for kids / teens include:Spanish Language Courses:
Given Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 13:00, the classes will have between 8 to 12 students grouped by level and age. On the first day, students take a placement test in order to evaluate their level of Spanish and place them with others of similar ability. The courses themselves emphasize grammar, writing, vocabulary and oral expression appropriate to each level. At the end of their stay, each student receives a report evaluating their work and participation, and a folder with all their work.
Workshops:
During the workshops, the children will take part in every step involved in staging a final production. The show, inspired by popular culture and traditions, will offer the children the opportunity to put into practice all the new knowledge and abilities they will have acquired during their stay. The workshops aim at improving physical and verbal expression through drama, magic and singing , fire and water. All workshops are designed and led by professionals who coordinate all the activities.
Sports:Sports are focused on team games and group activities, vital to create a positive atmosphere and cooperation. At camp, children will practice a variety of sports including football, basketball, climbing, golf, mountain biking, hiking, etc... Special activities are planned for the weekend.
Day trips:
Minairó is located in a culturally rich environment. The children will have the chance to go on field trips in a place of great natural and architectural beauty.
Each week, there will be a day excursion to visit the monuments of Gaudi and Barcelona, the Palau de la Musica, the castle of Cardona and the Collegiata de Saint-Vincent, a marvel of great Romanesque beauty and international fame, the most important salt mines the most important in Europe until 1990, the Segre Olympic Park, etc..
Evenings:
At night, the leaders and campers participate in a variety of activities such as dances, theater, karaoke, circus, clues games, stories, films, medieval shows, pyrotechnic and aquatic shows, cabarets, masked balls and many other activities. Younger campers will have shows that are adapted to their age.
