Nora Martin Swim School, Austin:
The Nora Martin Swim School in Austin, Texas, is a private Swimming School offering individual and group lessons to children & adults of all ability levels. Students are taught so that they are comfortable swimming underwater & able to take a breath before moving on to more complex skills. Since the back float & elementary backstroke are crucial life saving skills, they are taught along with proper underwater swimming first. Beginner & novice level swimmers learn step by step diving technique as well.
The Martin family has been teaching swimming in Austin since 1968! The family teaches in Dallas and San Antonio as well as Austin. Nora Martin has been teaching swimming (Power Swimmers) and developmental gymnastics (Mighty Tumblers) in Austin for the past 30 years. Our "child-directed" teaching approach is the cornerstone of our success. When a person's feelings are acknowledged and respected, the student feels safe and trusts the instructor and themselves as well. Learning takes off from that point on!
Rain Procedure:
If you are uncertain about the weather and wonder whether swim lessons are cancelled or not, please call 30 minutes prior to your scheduled class for a rain update. Please come to class unless the rain message specifically tells you not to come! We do swim in the rain on occasion, if thunder is not occurring.
Lesson size:
There will be 2-3 children in beginner and novice levels for all ages. Advanced classes, that is, those children that are confident and strong deep water swimmers, 6+ year old confident swimmers may occasionally have 2-5 swimmers per teacher.

The Nora Martin Swim School is located in Austin, Texas just off Interstate 35. From IH35, go east on 38 1/2 street. Turn right on LaFayette Avenue. We are in the blue 2 story house on the right hand side at the top of the hill. Park on Nora's side of the street to avoid congestion. You may also turn the corner and park on Edgewood.

Texas Christian Horse Camp is a Christian Summer camp where boys and girls between the ages of 8-16 experience life on a working horse ranch. Our 'Saddle Up' program is designed for campers ages 8-12, while our 'Buckle Up' program is for teens ages 13-16. Each camp size is intentionally kept small (12 students), so each student receives ample riding time and quality instruction. Campers own a horse for a week at this one of a kind camp. Children learn horsemanship skills, life on a working ranch, and an appreciation for the beauty of one of God's most beautiful creations, the horse.

AquaKids Swim School in Flower Mound TX, in the North Dallas area, provides year-round swimming lessons to children and teenagers of all ages in our heated, indoor swimming pool. We offer private and semi-private swim classes as well as Mommy & Me classes for infants from 6 months old. In addition, we provide private swim classes for adults. We also have a swim school in Keller, a northern suburb of Fort Worth.AquaSteps is a member of the United States Swim School Association (USSSA). Our friendly and experienced teachers use our industry-leading AquaSteps program to teach your child how to swim. All swim instructors are required to hold current CPR certifications and have completed 40 hours of the AquaSteps Swim instructor training.
