Conveniently situated in Piazza Pitti in the heart of the city, Accademia Italiana is a top international fashion and design school. Our students will be surrounded by some of the greatest works of art and architecture as our school is very close to Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria, the Cathedral, and all the other monuments of this magnificent Renaissance city. You will find artisan workshops in the surrounding streets as well as the boutiques and ateliers of the great Italian designers.
Our school has been completely renovated and is furnished with all the latest equipment and laboratories for each specific discipline.
Courses Taught in English & Italian:
You do not need to speak Italian in order to attend the Accademia Italiana. Many courses are taught in both English and Italian. Some courses are taught only in Italian but by instructors who can also speak English to assist students. Italian language classes may be offered as part of your program.
Fashion Courses in Florence:
- 3-year Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Fashion Design:
This is a dual qualification course - on successful graduation, you earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Wales, a leading UK university, as well as an advanced diploma from Accademia Italiana.
- 1-Year Post-graduate Diploma (Masters) Programs:
* Advanced Course (pre-MBA) in Design and Business - Taught in Italian
* Fashion as Art - Taught in English
- 2-Year Textile Design Diploma:
This course covers both the theory and practical side of textile design.
