Heritage Montessori School:Located in Huntington Beach, Orange County, Heritage Montessori School offers an excellent education to children ages 2 through to fourth grade. Each child progresses on an individual basis within a social setting that is compatible for him / her. Our children test, on average, approximately two years above grade level. The Montessori Method has been time-tested for over 100 years and has achieved success throughout the world.
Education Programs:
Montessori Programs for ages 2 1/2 years through to 4th grade:
- Stepping Stones:
For children ages 2 1/2- 4 years. Classes are offered 5 mornings, 3 full days, or 5 full days.
- Pre-K Class:
For children ages 3-4 years. Classes are 5 days per week all day.
- Kindergarten:
For children ages 5 years. Classes are offered 5 full days per week.
- Elementary Program (Grades 1-4):
The elementary class is comprised of children ages 6-9 years.
Additionally: Special classes, enrichment classes & summer program.

Founded in 1976, Montessori Children's Center (MCC) teaches students ages 2-6 years in its new custom-designed preschool located in the Parkmerced community in the southwest corner of San Francisco. Our preschool is based near San Francisco State University in the Villa Merced complex. We serve families from Sunset District, Balboa Terrace, Ingleside, Oceanview and throughout San Fransisco Bay communities. Dedicated to the methods and vision of the reknowned educator Maria Montessori, the teachers at MCC consider themselves guides and facilitators rather than instructors, as children instinctively "learn how to learn," thus gaining independence and self-confidence. The Center has been accredited by the Association Montessori Internationale. The staff includes experienced Montessori teachers with extensive educational backgrounds and a qualified complementary staff.

Montessori Scotts Valley (MSV) provides the highest quality Montessori education from birth on, through our infants, toddlers & primary programs in Scotts Valley in Santa Cruz County. As the only child care facility and school in Santa Cruz County associated with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), MSV guarantees families throughout the county a true Montessori experience. Montessori Scotts Valley first opened its doors for children in September 2003. Specially trained Head Teachers and Assistant Teachers staff our school. All Head Teachers hold a Bachelor’s degree as well as a teaching diploma from the Association Montessori Internationale, the original overseeing organization established by Dr. Maria Montessori.
- Nido (Infants) program: This program serves infants from 6 weeks of age to 18 months.
- Toddlers program: The Puffins, our toddler class, serves children from 18 months through to 3 years.

Playmates Cooperative Nursery School

Playmates Co-operative Nursery School is located at 2340 42nd Avenue in the Sunset District in the west-central part of San Francisco. We are a non-profit, nonsectarian, interracial co-operative organization formed and operated by parents and experienced staff. We provide an excellent child-centered nursery program for children 2 1/2 to 6 years of age, as well as a transitional kindergarden program. Scholarships are also available. An adult-to-child ratio of one-to-five provides individualized attention, a safe environment and many opportunities for creative expression. Children with special needs are welcome.Playmates Co-operative has offered families a supportive and creative learning environment for over 50 years. Children at Playmates build trust and confidence in a warm, nurturing environment.
