International School of Schaffhausen (ISSH):
The International School of Schaffhausen (ISSH) is well-established private international school located north of Zurich in northern Switzerland. We provide the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme to both day students and boarding students (ages 16-18) from around the world. The IB Diploma is an international university entrance qualification which grants students access to universities in 141 countries, including Switzerland and Germany.
With more than 30 nationalities represented in our student body, we offer a truly multi-cultural environment. This diversity creates a learning and living environment which is extremely rich in perspectives and where care and respect for one another are fundamental. Students are invited to join our international community of learners, to share our passion for knowledge and to develop into lifelong learners.
Boarding Facilities for IB Students (ages 16-18)
We offer boarding facilities for our senior students only. With an emphasis on fostering independence and a huge range of extra-curricular opportunities, our unique residential programme aims to turn teenagers into responsible and independent young adults. Our boarding staff understands the needs and challenges of teenagers. Under their care, your daughter or son will develop responsibility in decision-making and self-management. We want them to be well-prepared for university life abroad and have a clear vision of their strengths, talents and goals for life. Our boarders are grouped in single-sex communities of up to 10 students. They can participate in the great range of activities on offer by the ISSH and local community.
