Christian Residential Programs for At-Risk Girls
Lakeland Grace Academy:
Conveniently situated in Polk County, Central Florida, between Tampa and Orlando along Interstate 4, Lakeland Grace Academy is a private, accredited 40-bed Christian boarding school for at-risk girls ages 12-17. We provide a 15-month Therapeutic and Academic Residential Program for girls who are struggling with problems such as low self-esteem, depression, at-risk behaviour and rebellion. Each girl’s individualized treatment focus is considered from a holistic approach. Individual and group counseling programs are available.

Academic Program:
Lakeland Grace Academy is accredited with N.A.C.E. (National Association of Christian Education) and recognized nationally. Our students have transferred to other high schools, colleges and universities around the nation.
Switched-On Schoolhouse (SOS) offers a vibrant mix of entertaining lessons, assignments quizzes, and fun-filled lessons designed to captivate the student’s attention and engage them in learning. With features that enhance content and functionality, this award-winning curriculum offers ease, accuracy, and quality academics.
Therapeutic Model:
Individual Therapy:
Individual therapy is provided by the primary therapist, and generally consists of approximately 60-90 minutes of therapy per week, which may take place in one session or split into two sessions.
Family Sessions:
Working together toward the progress as a family unit and the goals that each family has for their relationships with each other is what family therapy specifically focuses on.
In-house sessions with the family are at least every 8 weeks during our on-campus Parent-Day Weekend for parents who live out of state and approximately 2 – 4 weeks for parent who live in Florida.
Group Sessions:
Topics and issues are addressed according to what our student population is facing through group sessions. Group sessions are comprised of the student body, which all have the same primary therapist.
To further gain comfort and confidence, students are placed in a setting to hear other students’ life stories and see that they are struggling with issues that are very similar to the ones they are working on. Students will learn the importance of sharing within a safe and supportive culture and that their story can help and heal those that are with them.
Holistic & Biblical Approach
Each girl’s individualized treatment focus is considered from a holistic approach: mind (education & the word of God), body (nutrition & exercise), and spirit (accepting Christ & showing good fruits/living a biblical standard). A balance is created and the opportunity for a successful and joyful life is greatly enhanced when this approach is taken.

The Sagemont School in Weston, South Florida, is a private upper school offering programs to students from Grades 6 through 12. The Sagemont school is not a traditional boarding school, and does not offer on-campus residential facilities. Instead, through our homestay program, international students stay with a local American family for the school year.

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18. We welcome students from Florida, across the United States, and students from around the world (TWAI is authorized to issue 1-20's for international students).
In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

We create a customized program for each student that requires a minimum of 3 months. However, best results for lasting success are realized through 6+ months of treatment.
TWAI graduates average a 3.5 GPA. It is common for a student to complete 1.5 years of course work in 1 year.
Situated on a state-of-the-art 450-acre campus in Bradenton, south-west Florida, IMG Academy is an accredited Pre-K–12th grade college preparatory boarding school for ages 11 and up.
