En el terreno de las artes, Talavera ha dado sus frutos, como en el caso de la familia de origen andaluz, Ruiz de Luna, que supuso un revulsivo para las manufacturas ceramicas locales. En el campo de la poesia destacan los naturales talaveranos Rafael Morales y Joaquin Benito de Lucas. Igualmente puede decirse en otras actividades.
Entre su patrimonio arquitectonico destacan los recintos amurallados, los tres grandes puentes sobre el Tajo (de diversas epocas) y en el campo de la arquitectura religiosa, la ermita-Basilica del Prado, la Colegiata, San Prudencio, e iglesias y conventos del mozarabe al renacentista, que se distribuyen alrededor del casco viejo, hoy remozado y conservado. De resaltar, los museos de ceramica Ruiz de Luna y el etnografico de reciente creacion.

Metàfora, Barcelona

Founded in 1999, Metàfora is an international fine arts school in Barcelona, on the northeast Mediterranean coast of Spain.Our contemporary art education consists of a full-time studio arts course, taught in English, called “The International Workshop". We also provide academic year Art Therapy courses taught in Spanish, as well as summer art courses in English.
Artists and art students come to Metàfora from all over the world, giving our school its distinctive international atmosphere. You can study from 6 weeks to 4 years, depending on your personal goals & ambitions.
The International Workshop comprises 4 levels, each designed for different student groups: Foundation Program in Studio Arts, Certificate in Studio Arts, Diploma in Studio Arts, and Advanced Diploma in Studio Arts. Each level can be undertaken independently.
We also offer short-term art courses, in which students can participate in all scheduled classes & activities on the International Workshop. In addition, we provide an intensive summer course in art therapy, taught in English.
Students get studio space in an old industrial warehouse and are offered total immersion in art and culture in Barcelona though studio visits and taking part in gallery exhibitions.

Located in Valenica, on Spain's Mediterranean coast, Berklee College of Music offers a 6-week for-credit summer music program to undergraduate students from around the world. The department of Spanish as a foreign language of the Pontificial University of Salamanca offers a quality summer program in Spanish language and culture, covering all levels from beginner to advanced. Join our special summer program at the Pontificial University and experience Salamanca, situated in Castile-Leon, the region where the standard accent of Spanish is spoken. This is the perfect place to study Spanish. Salamanca is a beautiful city of 160,000 inhabitants in western Spain, 200 kilometres from Madrid. In 2002, the city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage City for its architectural and artistic wealth.Our classrooms and facilities reflect our philosophy of teaching: pleasant and bright setting for small groups (12 students maximum), with multimedia equipment, a computer lab with connection to the internet and a room for showing films and documentaries.
