Barcelona Photography Courses:
At Barcelona Photography Courses, we offer a variety of courses and master classes through English that teach you all about the fundamental principles of great photography. Our photography courses take place in Central Barcelona at various locations in the city. Barcelona is situated on the north-east coast of Spain, approximately 500 km east of Madrid and 300 km north of Valencia. Our photography courses are led by experienced and passionate professionals who are always on hand to support you.

* Short Photography Courses - Duration 4 Hours:
Our short courses last approximately 4 hours and focus on the technical and creative aspects of photography. Our balance of theory and practical exercises will ensure you have a solid understanding of how to use your camera and take great photographs, so that when the next unforgettable moment comes along, you will know how to take control and get the most out of it. We normally have groups of around 4 people. Our two professional photographers provide individual guidance and advice.
In the four hours, we provide highly practical instruction and guidance that helps you understand your camera, and teaches you to see through the eyes of a photographer to capture wonderful moments. As this course covers all the core principles of photography, you will learn the skills and gain the confidence to consistently take great photos in all areas of photography, from portraits and landscapes to nature and documentary.
We help you master your Digital SLR camera by focusing on the technical aspects of photography, including:
* Exposure: Aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
* Depth of Field and Focus: F-numbers, sharpness, rules.
* Camera Settings: Shooting modes, white balance, formats (RAW vs JPEG) and more.
Also, the artistic side, including:
* Composition: Basic rules, perspective, location.
* Colours: Patterns, contrast, interaction.
* Light: Strength, direction, character, shadows.
* Moments: What to look for, timing, participation.
Our price includes a Photography e-Guide, written by our Chief Photographer, that builds upon everything we cover during the course and more, so you can continue learning and improving at home.

Our master classes are perfect to kick start your photographic skills in areas such as portrait, documentary and nature photography. In the first hour, we focus on the theoretical side and give you some pro tips that will super charge your photography skills. In the second hour, we build on the theory with a highly practical element, providing guidance and coaching on an individual level.

The department of Spanish as a foreign language of the Pontificial University of Salamanca offers a quality summer program in Spanish language and culture, covering all levels from beginner to advanced. Join our special summer program at the Pontificial University and experience Salamanca, situated in Castile-Leon, the region where the standard accent of Spanish is spoken. Founded in 1999, Metàfora is an international fine arts school in Barcelona, on the northeast Mediterranean coast of Spain.Our contemporary art education consists of a full-time studio arts course, taught in English, called “The International Workshop". We also provide academic year Art Therapy courses taught in Spanish, as well as summer art courses in English.
Artists and art students come to Metàfora from all over the world, giving our school its distinctive international atmosphere. You can study from 6 weeks to 4 years, depending on your personal goals & ambitions.
The International Workshop comprises 4 levels, each designed for different student groups: Foundation Program in Studio Arts, Certificate in Studio Arts, Diploma in Studio Arts, and Advanced Diploma in Studio Arts. Each level can be undertaken independently.
We also offer short-term art courses, in which students can participate in all scheduled classes & activities on the International Workshop. In addition, we provide an intensive summer course in art therapy, taught in English.
