At Barcelona Photography Courses, we offer a variety of courses and master classes through English that teach you all about the fundamental principles of great photography. Our photography courses take place in Central Barcelona at various locations in the city. Barcelona is situated on the north-east coast of Spain, approximately 500 km east of Madrid and 300 km north of Valencia. Our photography courses are led by experienced and passionate professionals who are always on hand to support you.

Barcelona Photography Courses was founded in 2011 by two young English photographers, Harry and Ben, to meet the growing demand for practical, face to face photography tuition. They began by offering their short courses, and soon decided to add master classes to help people improve in the specific areas they are passionate about, such as documentary photography. They chose Barcelona as it is such a beautiful, vibrant and cosmopolitan city with a rich culture and interesting history.

Both Ben and Harry feel strongly about contributing to the local community, and organize a free monthly photography walk, available to everyone. This has been a great success and is popular among the locals.

We offer short courses and theme-specific master classes (English is the language of instruction):

Our short courses last approximately 4 hours and focus on the technical and creative aspects of photography. Our balance of theory and practical exercises will ensure you have a solid understanding of how to use your camera and take great photographs, so that when the next unforgettable moment comes along, you will know how to take control and get the most out of it.

Our master classes are perfect to kick start your photographic skills in areas such as portrait, documentary and nature photography. In the first hour, we focus on the theoretical side and give you some pro tips that will super charge your photography skills. In the second hour, we build on the theory with a highly practical element, providing guidance and coaching on an individual level.

Photography has never been as popular as it is now. It’s not your camera that separates you, nor even your enthusiasm for the subject – but your skill shown through the consistent quality of your photographs.
