Foundation Degree in Beauty and Spa Management:
The
Beauty and Spa Management foundation degree course covers therapeutic studies, science and management in an integrated programme of study over two years. You will experience a range of beauty therapy techniques including facial, body, spa, cosmetic treatments, and hair removal technology. You will research a variety of products, treatments and technologies currently used in the industry to enable you to examine, analyse and evaluate new developments.Work based projects and simulated salon experience will allow you to learn all about current professional practice. Science is integrated within the course through practical aspects and provides an in depth academic background for the study of beauty, health and spa therapies, drawing on your research and analytical skills.
Career Prospects:
Successful graduates are readily employable as beauty therapists and quickly progress to senior therapists, advancing to management level in salons, spas and health clubs, as well as specialising in complementary therapies, hair removal technology, exercise therapy and becoming salon owners.
Further Studies:
Once you have completed the FdSc Beauty Therapy & Health Studies, with a merit certification, you will have the opportunity to be interviewed for the Honours degree programme at London College of Fashion. You will need to complete a bridging programme before the top up year and on successful completion of the bridging programme and the top up year, you will graduate with a BSc (Hons) Beauty Therapy & Health Studies.

Flux Studios is a new purpose built specialist jewellery studio and workshop, providing courses in jewellery making for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. We are located in Vanguard Court, Camberwell, Southwark, beside Heathrow Airport in South London. The studio also offers a comprehensive membership package to graduate/new jewellers wishing to become established.
