1. Sound Training Centre, Dublin Courses / Programs
Situated in Temple Bar, the social and cultural heart of Dublin, Sound Training Centre (STC) provides a range of full and part-time Diploma and Certificate courses covering all aspects of Music Technology. STC places a strong emphasis on the ‘hands on’ element on all of our music courses (full-time, part-time, day, evening & weekend). We provide the developing music technology industry with highly trained personnel in the areas of Sound Engineering, Live Sound & Stage Production and Music Production.

STC courses and examinations have effectively set standards for the training within the industry, providing City & Guilds Diploma qualifications along with STC Sound Engineering & Music Technology Diploma programmes. Our courses are delivered by a team of experienced industry professionals, all of whom are acknowledged experts in the music business.

In 1986, the Sound Training Centre was established to meet the needs of the burgeoning music industry in Ireland which followed the phenomenal worldwide success of bands such as U2.  Additional specialised areas of the course are taught by a panel of guest lecturers (past lecturers have included Elvis Costello, Tim Finn (ex Crowded House), Daniel Lanois (producer of the ‘The Joshua Tree’ by U2), Pete Holidai (producer) and Martin Clancy (Jack L Manager).

3. Marbella Design Academy Courses / Programs
Calling students from Ireland and internationally! Founded in 1995, Marbella Design Academy is a leading international design school in Spain, that is state-recognized by the Ministry of Education. We offer 3-year courses at BA degree level that are approved and validated by Middlesex University in London: Interior Architecture, Graphic Design & Fashion Design. These courses are taught entirely in English. On completion, you will be awarded a BA (Hons) Degree from Middlesex University.

Students from all over the world have come to Spain to study at the Marbella Design Academy. This is a great opportunity to study in English in beautiful, sunny Spain at a lower cost than in the UK. 7. Griffith College Dublin Courses / Programs
Griffith College Dublin was established in 1974 and is now the largest independent college in Ireland, with a student population of over 5,000, including approximately 700 international students. Kerry Fiddles located in Kerry, south west of Ireland offer traditional Irish Fiddle lessons for complete beginner and intermediate adults. Even if you have never played any musical instrument before, by the end of the week you’ll be playing your first tune on the fiddle!

Morning classes are a hoot, there’s no music theory, no pressure and no rush. Afternoons are free to explore the most beautiful part of Ireland. For Intermediates, it’s a chance to devote a week to your music, to getting new tunes, improving technique and learning how to teach yourself.

9. Ballyfermot College Of Further Education, Dublin Courses / Programs
Ballyfermot College of Further Education on Kylemore Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10, runs a well-known and highly respected Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design. It is a two year full-time course and its graduates gain entry each year to the most-highly regarded degree programmes in Art Universities and Colleges in Ireland, England and occasionally elsewhere. Entry Requirements: Leaving Certificate / LCVP with a minimum of two HC3s one of which must be in Art and three passes at ordinary level or any FETAC level 5 Certificate in Art with a merit profile. The academic entry requirements may be waived for mature applicants (21+). Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design:

This course is a full-time, two year programme that gives students an excellent grounding in the principles and practices of graphic design and illustration. Certification: Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design - Edexcel (BTEC Level 4).
10. Fiddlers Retreat Courses / Programs
Fiddlers Retreat, in Tipperary (90 minutes from Dublin), Ireland, is the only traditional Irish Music and Culture school of its kind in Ireland. At Fiddlers Retreat we offer a unique insight into Irelands Music and Culture, where you can enjoy music tuition, afternoon sightseeing tours, night-time Traditional Irish music sessions, sporting events, Irish language and cookery workshops. Homestay accommodation is available with meals. Both adults and students are catered for.
