ESL Certified - Online Courses:
ESL Certified provides online TESOL / TEFL certification courses that are internationally recognized and are designed to thoroughly prepare aspiring ESL teachers for ESL teaching careers abroad. At its core, the 100 and 120 hour TESOL / TEFL certification courses prepare teachers in the theory and practice of teaching English. In additon, our courses were designed by real ESL educators that have several years of experience teaching English abroad. Not only are our instructors experienced ESL teachers, they also have at least a master's degree and have several years of experience training other teachers. Our course modules are taught through an advance online learning management system.
Online English Language Teacher Training Certification Courses:
- 100-hour TESOL Certification:
This is a beginner’s level course that contains information you will need in order to be qualified for an entry level ESL teaching position. The course can be completed in as little as 4 weeks and you will receive 100 learning hours that cover various topics such as the difference and definition of ESL, TESOL and TEFL, theories for teaching, basic grammar, pronunciation, how to create lesson plans, using text books and resources, evaluation students and how to build confidence in yourself as an instructor. At the end of the program, you will receive an internationally recognized TESOL certificate.
- 100-hour TEFL Certification:
The TEFL certification course can be completed in 4 weeks. The course is created so that you will learn the essential materials for teaching English as a foreign language such as defining the roles between student and teacher, effective teaching methods, techniques and theories that are essential to any ESL class, pronunciation and phonology, basic grammar, lesson planning, classroom management, troubleshooting in the classroom, building confidence, using teaching materials and testing students. This is a beginner’s level course that includes information you will in order to be qualified for an entry level ESL teaching position.
- 120-hour TESOL Certification:
This is an advance level course that contains information you will need in order to be qualified for an entry level ESL teaching position. After receiving your TESOL / TEFL certification, you may want to specialize your teaching in Teenagers and young adults. This course teaches teachers the appropriate teaching styles and techniques that are most beneficial to the not so young students. This course will help you to stay current as to what the English language learner teenager learning style demands in the classroom.
You will learn techniques and tips that can used to help keep the learner’s participation going in your class from start to finish. This course that can be completed in as little as two weeks and you will benefit from 50 hours of classroom time.
Prerequisite: Due to the advanced pace and terminology used in this course, you must have completed a 100-hour or more TESOL / TEFL certification program before taking this course.
- Youth (K-8):
Children from Kindergarten to the 8th grade benefit from different teaching approaches. This is why we have created a specialization course that will help our teachers to provide excellent teaching for kids in grades K through 8. You will learn the appropriate teaching styles for teaching children. How to maximize your class time with them so that you as a teacher are teaching and the student are actively learning. This course can be completed in as little as 2 weeks, which includes 50 classroom hours.

- Business / Mature Learners:
In the Business / Mature Learners specialization course, you will receive instruction in how and what to teach English to adults and business professionals. You will have 50 classroom hours that can be completed in as little as two weeks. This course focuses on the appropriate teaching styles and techniques for adult learners wishing to learn English and people who need to learn English to help them in the business world. You will learn steps and techniques that have been used by experienced educators all over the world.

- Instructional Strategies: How to Teach a Class of Students on Varying Levels:
Many times while teaching abroad, you will be in a classroom where the levels of your students’ English skills vary. This professional development course will help you to instruct a class of students varying in speaking, listening, and writing levels with steps and techniques so that every student is able to learn regardless of their specific level. You will receive 50 learning hours and will be able to complete this course in two weeks.
