Recognizing 3dsense Media School’s continuing efforts to nurture new talents for the CG industry and sharing the unique, in-house developed industry immersion education pedagogy that one year of vigorous, practical training led by industry professionals is far more valuable than several years of theoretical study, the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) has officially appointed 3dsense Media School as a CI WSQ (Creative Industries Workforce Skills Qualification) CET (Continuing Education and Training) Centre for Animation from the 1st September 2008 with the task of enhancing the capabilities of the local workforce in the media industry and to grow a pool of skilled animators to meet the digital media sector's manpower and skills needs for the future.
What this means to aspiring animators in Singapore is that the WSQ Diploma in Digital Visual Effects and Animation programme is now (partially) financially government-assisted. Accepted Singaporeans and local Permanent Residents into the programme are now eligible for WDA subsidy. Students graduating from this programme would also receive the WSQ Diploma in Digital Visual Effects and Animation which is recognized nationally.
The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) is a robust and integrated continuing education and training (CET) system developed by Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA).
