Founded in 1997, Language and Music for Life (LMFL) offers unique 2-week summer music, language, and drama courses in Llandovery in south-west Wales. LMFL is committed to providing training in both music and foreign languages to students of all ages, with a lower age limit of 10 years old and no upper age limit (adults included). Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Designed primarily for highly motivated musicians with a level of musical knowledge enabling them to derive maximum benefit from high quality tuition, the course is open to musicians preparing for national, international exams or competitions, and to skilled amateurs.

Our Summer Courses 2014 will be hosted by Llandovery College, a co-educational day and boarding school in Llandovery, a market town in Carmarthenshire in south-west Wales. Located approximately 5 hours by train from London and 1.5 hours from Swansea, Llandovery College is easily accessible by excellent road and rail links. The closest international airport is Cardiff International Airport, which is just 45 miles away.

LMFL will also run a music summer camp in France in 2014 for advanced musicians (children and adults at Grades 7 and 8).

2. Edu-Culture Immersion, Nice and Gap

Based in Berkeley, California Edu-Culture Immersion (ECI) have successfully organized educational travel programs in France, Spain, Costa Rica & the US since 1998. We specialize in 4-week summer study abroad programs for groups of high school students, and 2-4 week programs for individuals ages 15-21. Our programs provide unique opportunities for pre-college teens to improve their foreign language skills while earning university credit and making friends from all over the world.

Our 4-week group program in France allows teenagers to study French in Nice on the French Riviera. It includes 2 weeks of French language classes at an internationally-recognized language school. Students will then experience the famous ECI True Immersion Week and live with a host family in the seaside town of Hyères. No other summer study abroad program provides such an authentic French learning experience. The program concludes with a magical 4 days exploring the wonderful city of Paris.

ECI also offers a unique immersion program for individuals which gives you the opportunity to live with a volunteer family in the French Alps. Our group programs are 4 weeks long, and include Spanish classes in Salamanca or Nerja in the south of Spain (with 4 days in Barcelona) and a week of total immersion with host families. 4. Atlantic School of English & Active Leisure, West Cork
Courses / Programs
Atlantic School of English & Active Leisure is an English language school in the village of Schull in West Cork in the South-West of Ireland. We provide English summer courses for juniors and teenagers. Students are divided into groups according to age and level - ages 9-12 and 13-17.

We also provide a Young Kids' English Summer Camp for children ages 3-8. Your child can make new friends, while learning and playing through the English language.

Because our English summer camps for young kids and juniors are located only a few minutes walk from our Adult English school, Mum & Dad are always nearby. We synchronise timetables so parents, younger kids and also their older siblings can attend one of our 3 separate, but closeby centres. 5. TASIS - The American School in Switzerland
Courses / Programs
Located in the village of Château-d’Oex in the Gstaad Valley in Southern Switzerland, TASIS (The American School in Switzerland) is an international school based in the Swiss Alps. Each summer, we provide the TASIS Ecological Leadership Action Program (TELAP) to English speaking students ages 14-18.

This 5-week course is a challenging educational summer experience which carefully coordinates physical, emotional, intellectual, and ethical development.

Project-based learning activities encourage respect for self and others, environmental stewardship, and leadership skills that carry over into other important aspects of a young person’s life. At the conclusion of the program, participants put into action what they have learned by means of a planned eco-action project in a European country.

6. Goethe-Institut
Courses / Programs
The Goethe-Institut offers summer German courses for children, teenagers and young adults in 27 locations throughout Germany and Austria, including Berlin, Bonn, Leipzig and Munich. Our German summer camps are 2 - 4 weeks in duration and are available to students ages 9 - 21. They are suitable for students at all levels of German from beginner to advanced. In addition to our summer courses, we offer year-round German courses for groups of students, accompanied by their teachers. These one-week or two-week programs are available throughout the autumn (fall), winter and spring.

Students on our summer German courses learn German while meeting international students from all over the world in a fun, multicultural atmosphere. During the course, participants have the opportunity if they wish to take an internationally recognized Goethe-Institut examination at various levels. The exams are tailored to the various age groups.

We offer an extracurricular program packed with sports, music, the arts and plenty of fun activities. Accommodation with full board in boarding schools is included in the program.
Summer German courses for children (9-12), teenagers (12 - 15 / 14 - 17) and young adults (18 - 21). Courses are between 2 - 4 weeks long and include:

7. Travel Sport Camp

Currently, Travel Sport Camp and its affiliate EduKick, host schools and camps in 11 different countries on four continents and continues to grow on a global scale. Travel Sport Camp offers summer sports camps for boys and girls from 11 years old in Perugia, the capital city of the region of Umbria in central Italy.

In our summer camps, all sport training sessions, classes and social activities are conducted in the native language to maximize the educational value of the experience. Daily professional sports training and daytime language and/or chosen curriculum taught by highly qualified teachers make up the core of the TSC program. A carefully chosen selection of evening cultural activities, supervised social events and weekend trips to popular tourist attractions and historical destinations rounds out the experience.
Italian language & sports summer camps for volleyball and tennis (students choose one). The program combines an intensive and daily Italian language course with a sports training program.

All ability levels are welcome and no prior sports or foreign language experience is necessary. All levels of Italian speakers are welcome, from beginner/elementary up to native speaker.
8. ISC International Spanish Courses, Alicante

International Spanish Courses (ISC Spain) offers summer Spanish language programs combined with sport, cultural and leisure activities in Alicante in the south of Spain on the Mediterranean coast. Our summer programs last for 2 or 3 weeks, and are designed for young people aged between 13 and 18 years of age. Enjoy a unique experience - learn or perfect your level of Spanish, enjoy your favourite sports and meet students from all over the world!

In addition to our Spanish & Sports Camps, we offer summer programs for juniors (ages 13-18) that focus on a particular sport, with options including football, tennis, & golf. We also provide sports camps during the academic year, as well as school trips for groups to Alicante, Barcelona or Madrid.

Alicante is situated on the coast approximately 360 km south-east of Madrid, 538 km south of Barcelona, and 177 km directly south of Valencia. Alicante Airport is connected with Madrid and Barcelona by frequent Iberia and Spanair flights, and with many Western European cities through carriers such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Air Berlin, Monarch Airlines, and Jet2.com.

The students are provided with accommodation and meals in the student residence, and can enjoy an individual room with individual bed, air-conditioning, private bath with shower, interior telephone, worktable & free internet.

9. Language and Music for Life, South of France 2014
Courses / Programs
Founded in 1997, Language and Music for Life (LMFL) offers an International Summer Music and Languages Course for advanced musicians (juniors, teenagers & adults) in 2014 in the Centre International de Valbonne, Sophia Antipolis in the Cedex region of south-east France (close to the French Riviera and the Italian border). LMFL also provides an end of summer course in Cadeilan, 40kms west of Toulouse in south-western France.

The music courses are designed at Grades 7 and 8 exam standard, as set by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, UK and Trinity College London, for talented musicians with a level of musical knowledge enabling them to derive maximum benefit from high-quality tuition. The course is open to musicians preparing for national, international exams or competitions. The program also offers students a choice of French, Italian, Spanish or English language courses.

The standard of the course is advanced level only, and students are required to first send us a video link. The lower age limit is 10-16 years old at advanced level & accompanied by a parent / guardian. Students ages 17+ may be unaccompanied. Our summer program includes instrumental and voice tuition, masterclasses, composition and conducting classes. The classes are conducted by fully-qualified and experienced teachers and internationally-known performers.

The school is located just 25 minutes from Cannes and 30 minutes from Nice, with a transfer service from nearby Nice International Airport.
